Florida State went undefeated on a much more ambitious schedule. They deserved it.
TCU may have deserve it too, but at the expense of Alabama, not FSU.

and while Florida St. may not have racked up style points along the way until today... they just won.

Too bad TCU scheduled SMU and Samford.
They had to have known a weak OOC schedule combined with a lack of a conf champ game would be a risk.

Best thing about that was that it being the first year of the playoff, they were getting in. Now with them getting housed, it will lead to the best teams getting in. Just because you won all of your games in a close fashion against inferior opponents, doesnt mean you get in. Until Alabama does it, but for everyone else its an even scale.

FSU's inferior opponents just beat LSU, whipped Mississippi State, and destroyed Oklahoma in bowl games.
Their schedule wasn't as inferior as everyone made it out to be.
And the schedules of SEC West teams weren't nearly as wonderful as virtually everyone thought they were.
