In the NFC South.
Saints better draft D early and often.

Ya, like a rookie QB is what we should be worried about. How about improving the D since it was as bad as the disastrous 2012 D?

I have no idea if he can actually read a defense.

Sure he can read defenses. That's ridiculous. You don't have as few turnovers as he's had in his career without being able to read defenses.

Bucs are gonna draft the biggest bust since JaMarcus Russell, when they draft Winston anyway. So calm down.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the only negative I see besides his fondness for picks this season is his off the field antics. Talent isn't the issue with him.

Sorry there Bob there are no reading defenses in that offense. Its either the first read is there or lets buy some time till someone gets open.

Mariota will be as good as all the other spread formation QBs Oregon sends to the pros.

Spread option QBs suck in the NFL. Always have, always will.

Please Tampa draft Jameis. I don't think it will happen, but that would help all the teams in the NFC south other than Tampa.

Jameis is actually a very accurate passer. He works through his progressions, fits the ball into tight windows, and looks to throw from the pocket despite having decent mobility.
I think they will want to tighten up his delivery and footwork, but the rest of his game is pro level.
He's an excellent pro prospect.

Mariota on the other hand has benefitted from his system. He doesn't make progression reads, doesn't have to fit it into tight windows, makes poor decisions when flushed from the pocket, and the advantage of running he enjoyed in college will not help him in the NFL.

Name me an Oregon quarterback that has had any success in the NFL.
Name me a dual-thread QB that has remained injury-free in the NFL. (Is Wilson the only successful example in the last 15 years? Before that... Young?)
So, two exceptions in 25 years... and you think Mariota is going to make it happen?

Is he vastly superior to RG3 or Manziel or Vick coming out of college?..... no.
If you are pulling for Tampa to make a poor draft pick.... hope they take Mariota.

Um, no.

There are ZERO franchise QB's in this year's draft, and whoever thinks there are and takes one early is in for a long ride.
