I think The Office is slightly better, but because Leslie Knope >>>>>>>>> Michael Scott, the two are close. Also Parks and Rec is ending at the right time.

Andy is terrible in Season 1 and becomes a great character.
They also realize that the true star is Ron Swanson and he makes the show going forward.

I have seen the series a couple of times and Ben is way funnier the second time. He cracked me up in the last couple seasons.

One of my favorite comedy shows in some time. Loved The Office and this to me has always felt just like that but with more exaggerated over the top characters(in a good way)

Don't get me wrong. Michael makes The Office, but Leslie Knope actually works hard and has some good ideas. It's understandable that she has reached a high level at her workplace.
Michael is just such a dumbass that I get frustrated sometimes.

When I suggest this show to people, I tell them to skip season 1.

Just did the same thing. Halfway through season 2 right now. I now see what all the Ron Swanson hype was about.

Michael does show flashes of brilliance at his job.
But yeah, mostly he is beyond incompetent and it is extremely frustrating.

My favorite episode of The Office is "Gay Witch Hunt," but there is no way he isn't fired for that in the real world.

i do enjoy the show, and i'm almost done the most recent season, but my biggest gripe is that the characters become caricatures of themselves to the point that it almost gets annoying at times. there is little development, IMO, which is something I enjoyed about the office.
