Best buy had been having this tv (open box-missing remote and stand) at the very back of the store for months now for around $1400. Great price even then...went tonight and it had been dropped to $800. I believe i got a hell of a deal IMO.

Anyone have this tv and can tell me anything you like/don't like about it?

Don't have one but I can't imagine there's much to dislike about it at that price. LG panels are excellent.

That's the remote that came with my 42" a few weeks back, the remote is essentially a mouse..

the TV is the best buy for me in a while, it is pretty fricking awesome with smart tv setup

I hate that remote, Id just get a harmony or urc and be done with it. Takes longer to point the thing than it does to just push a button.

I have read up on 4k TVs but haven't seen them in action. Is there a real noticeable difference between 4k and LED TV's. I know the specs, but I am talking looking at the two side by side and seeing a huge difference.

4K is the resolution not the lighting source or type of screen. So this is a 4k LED tv. I've heard others say that once you get a certain distance away you can no longer tell the difference between 4k and 1080p. If you were to put true 4K content which is hard to find at the moment next to 1080, you can absolutely tell the difference. That being said, I find it is still a slightly better picture just showing the normal cable/sat content that is out there. For some the difference isn't worth the extra money.

That would have been tough for me. I've had two LGs go out on me. 1 was in warranty, and it took them 5 days to find a repair guy. I'm about done with them.

Yes, if your getting actual 4K picture

Cable companies wont have 4k for a while...

ETA: 4K and LED dont have anything to do with each other.
