You will never know who the Saints would have picked.

Posters on here bitched about Jimmy Graham when he was drafted. All I'm saying is top 7-13 pick does not make or break a franchise.

In a couple of years it may turn out to be a good thing.

It's widely known this draft has ten can't miss prospects and 300 certified busts.

Yes, it can Hugo. You're so wrong it's ridiculous. It's that many spots every single round and we don't have to give up picks like years past to get our targets.. The draft absolutely makes a franchise and if you can't understabd that I can't help you..

Please list the exact pick all of our targets are. You clearly must know them already.

Yep, would have been nice to have the option to trade back to 13

Yeah, champions are built through the draft but draft position based off of one week 17 win/loss probably doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things... Just remember, Tom Brady was passed on by every team at least six times. It's not where you draft but how you draft that wins titles.

Some of the same people who wanted the Saints to tank and get a higher pick also bitch about how Mickey Loomis doesn't know how to draft anyway.

"It's how you draft"

We aren't the best at drafting, so every extra advantage helps.

The top 10 pick would have been huge.

Two questions. What is our top priority in the draft? Who won't be available at 13 that would have been at 8?

Lunchbox, what if one of those elite 5 or 6 players drop to number 8 or 9 and we are sitting at 13?

True, those guys can be a bust too. Its all about talent evaluation and taking the right player when its your turn.

Those are rare. Even when teams pass on guys they still don't last. JJ watt was passed on by 10 teams and still went 11th.. Right now we don't have an opportunity to draft that now. This just sucks given such a miserable season to not at least get a shot at top ten talent. That would have been so awesome for New Orleans. That's cool about Tom Brady but we still could use top ten talent one the line or defense. Sure we hit on Colston but that doesn't mean we couldn't use a Dez Bryant caliber player. Especially given our current salary situation and the new rookie scale.. Now is the best time for top ten talent
