With your current knowledge of the 21st century, what would your million dollar idea be with their available resources?

Buffalo wings? Rap music? West Coast Offense?

I would go back to the late 70s and early 80s to invest heavily in Apple, Intel, Dell, and other tech companies. I would then go back in time to the early/mid 90s to invest heavily in Amazon and open a chain of Chick-fil-a restaurants.

I would be set...

basically this, buy stocks that boomed until the crash, sell them a few weeks before and go short.

After the crash buy the ones that made it through the great depression and boomed in WWII.

Profit.

The world would have an atomic weapon 30 years sooner and I'd be world ruler.

I would do everything humanly possible to stop the legislation that has rendered too many Americans dependent on the government

No one paid much attention to the premise that you would go back to 1914. Buying Chik-Fil-A, IBM and Apple wasn't an option then.

Exactly. What could you invent or revolutionize with the ideas of the past 100 years?

How accessible is my knowledge? Just what's in my head? Or do I magically have Wikipedia access?

The problem for a lot of ideas is that there wasn't the tech in 1914 to build it. There was no machine around that would build a microprocessor (and they probably had no mines for some of the rare earth metals). You couldn't bring about the atomic bomb early for the same reason.

Using politics and persuasion to stop the Great Depression, on the other hand, would work.
