extensive knowledge of the playbook.

You lost me right here. Jennings came in January 2013. He had all of spring 2013. 2013 summer practice, 2013 fall camp, all of bowl practice before the Outback bowl. Then the entire 2014 offseason and practices. If he doesn't know the offense upside down, inside and out by then he never will.
Now I don't believe any of this just making the point that your argument is wrong.

Why don't you show me how many SEC QBs did this this year? Or the last time an LSU QB accomplished this?

Mett completed 64.9% last year. Jefferson and Lee were both above 60% in 2011. JJ was above 60% in 2010. These are all significantly better than jenning's 48.9% this year.

It took Mett from 2011 until halfway through 2012 before the light bulb came on. Just sayin'.

And none of them are 65%... even Mett in 2013 should not be considered the norm for any college program.

Compared to what the 1895 Yale Bulldogs?

Even if what your saying is true it is the coaches job to fit the offense to the players.

Again dude your not helping yourself, you need to quit now.

Mett also threw for over 150 yards in each of his first 6 starts, soooo not sure where you're getting this "halfway through 2012" stuff.

Brandon Harris has to be the future if LSU is to win a Natty!

Which is exactly what we saw after the Auburn game. Veteran OL, Inexperienced QB, and Fournette.

Do you suggest that there was no discernible difference between 2012 Alabama through 2013 and everything that preceded it?

There definitely was, but my point is that he was already operating on a much higher level when he first started in 2012 than jenning's did with the same amount of prep time. Mett also improved a ton before that Alabama game too. Then he had to adapt to a new offensive coordinator before improving even more in 2013.. Jenning's has improved marginally at best. Mett was making strides that entire first season and had no more time with the system than jennings has.

Bottom line, Jennings sucked at damn near everything he was asked to do. He didn't suck because he was limited. Just like JJ he sucked because he sucks.

Jennings will likely never reach the same level of success that Mett did. Very likely 2014 will also be his worst as LSUs QB.

Ideally it will be his only as LSU's qb.

Sure, ideally the more talented player will also be the most driven. If Harris takes care of his duties outside DV, he'll thrive inside it.

I like Jennings. He seems like a good guy, works hard, accepts responsibility. That being said, I just don't think he has the physical tools to be a solid SEC quarterback & the guy who can win championships. Whether Harris can do it or not, we can't be sure, but I think most would agree that he's more gifted physically by far.

But unless Jennings has a horrid bowl game and Harris lights it up, I don't think there's any chance Harris starts next year, at least not until we lose a key game that knocks us out of the race.

I'm a big Les Miles fan, but for all the talk about "open competition," Harris has virtually no chance to win the job in the spring or fall camps. He has to overshadow Jennings in the bowl game or wait for Jennings to implode during the 2015 season to move into the lineup.
