Problem with the walk comes from really abused legs and knees (multiple injuries over the years).

My apologies MD, thought you were going in a different direction with this one.

First visit of the new season to Casamento's quote: How was the line ? I've notice more people out front than normal with the holidays. We walked in around 7:30 and got a table for two in the front room right away. Of course . . . that was me . . . so . . .

Never waited in line, my uncle is cardiologist and has taken care of various family members over the years, they are always extremely accommodating to us

Tigerwise, glassman and I tend to be a little sensitive when we hear some of the sillier objections to Uptown neighborhoods.

Casamento's is great. Plus it's a 10 minute walk from my house.

Jeez, they probably make up half of his practice.

Most overrated restaurant in New Orleans.

Obvious troll is obvious

If you wanna look at at overrated oyster bar, it's Acme. If anything, Casamento's is UNDERRATED.

All I can say is we like the place. If it were easier to get to NO from Meridian, we would go to Casamento's more often.

Knees still work but I like to park close.

Maybe I should break down, quit bitching, admit defeat and get a limo and driver.

Coming from one who is in Charleston and who dines at The Ordinary....Casamentos is a joke. I can rattle off 10 or so South Carolina restaurants that put that place to shame.

However you get there, enjoy the food.

What happened to Michael?

Well, I'm really not sure. Allegedly, he took off looking for greener pastures out of state and they hire his brother/cousin (I think brother, actually). But then last night I was told they were thinking about letting him go anyway. He was a great shucker, but my suspicion is that he got a little to full of himself and was giving too much away. I know he used to hook us up all the time for tips if we had to wait for a table (this is conjecture on my part).

And your credibility just sailed out of the window. Casamento's doesn't aspire to be anything like The Ordinary, thank God.

Oh, and while I'm thinking about it . . . GFY.

And for the record, a person doesn't fricking "dine" at Casamento's. You go there to eat some oysters and crabs and drink beer.

Some people are just ignant. Not worth the extra syllable, and certainly not worth engaging.

I agree. Sometimes my patience is in short supply. Getting old and shite.
