i think hes done playing 82 games a year as hard as physically possible. going forward, all that will matter is titles. he'll save enough gas in the tank to peak in the 2nd season.

This. And all great players have done this for decades. Nothing new. This is why the NBA should be mid 50 game limit, but this will never happen.

We don't need 82 games to determine who's the best teams.

Seems like Spurs players sit a game a week. I was surprised when everyone played for them last night.

It feels like we've had this conversation before, pretty much every December for the last 4 years.

I do see what seems to be a little more coasting than usual, but I'm sure he's thinking "lets do enough to get in" then he'll come just as hard as always in the playoffs.

I also think right now, he's trying to let things kind of naturally mesh. He's playing with a bunch of guys who have always lost. It's important to let them figure out what they can do together when he's not out there. I think or at least hope this team will have it figured out by April. They've already improved a shite ton since we were writing them off the first week of the season.

I hate LeBron as much as the next guy, but no.

This is his 11th season in the league; between regular seasons and playoffs, he's around 41K minutes- that's a pretty big number on his odometer, but the loss of bulk and transition in his game is aimed to help with it.

Changing teams is hard, especially when roles are being defined on the fly. When everything goes to crap, you end up getting bad looks, yet are still expected to bail out your mortal teammates; his returns are getting better, as the Cavs begin to figure out what they are going to be.

I wish it wasn't, but it is far too early to project decline; another two or three years, and another 5K minutes, and the signs will start to actually show.

The days of Lebron being near the top of the NBA in scoring are done. He is transitioning in to more of a PG and he needs his team to adjust

Absurd. He's 2nd in the league in scoring right now.

Over the last 5 seasons, he's finished 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 2nd-- he's scoring just fine.

Did you bother looking at any numbers before forming this opinion?

He's conserving his energy to keep his longevity so that he can pass Kareem.
