Yeah got me!! Noticed you never came up with your source. Don't need a name. Just their position as it relates to the situation. Or is a quote from Bertman and Jacobs all you have??

What in the Hell are you babbling about? You are the one that cited Skip and Jacobs.

I don't need a source. You made a flat out statemented presented as FACT!! and I challenged you to justify it.

Which you tried to do by claiming deep dark double inside sources that you really weren't authorized to reveal.

At least you weren't so far out there to claim National Security.

Usually have a good handle who the shite posters are...you somehow slipped through the cracks. You attack posters for not having credible sources, but yet you spew some of the dumbest shite ever read on this board.

Miles is not overpaid for anyone with a brain. His program had a $50 million profit last year.

He's not overpaid or underpaid. If he wins another conference title he'll deserve some more money.

So what would justify it Hot Rod? Give you a name of someone you have never met in your life? And do it so you can what, call him to see what happened? Hope you have some free time cause i am sure he will babble it all to a complete stranger. You win big guy. Miles was offered the UM gig all three times. Each time it was with a 50% increase in salary to coach his dream job at his alma mater, the place he has stated molded him into a man. Where he met his wife and her family remains close by there. The man has stated repeatedly his love for UM. His Loyalty and Love for LSU who the only thing he knew about before coming here was that David Lafeur, a player he coached in Dallas, wnet there, won out in the end!! The man who supposedly doesnt want to embarrass his alma mater by publicly being quoted about it did the honorable thing for them and turn them down 3 times. Congrats Captain, you called my bluff and won.

I disagree with some of you. I think UM will come after Miles hard if Harbaugh turns them down. They have screwed up the last 2 hires and want to get back their proud program. They want a "Michigan" man and Miles and Harbaugh are the 2 biggest coaches that have Michigan ties. I am not saying that Les would take the job.

To me, the obvious choice is Harbaugh. He is a younger coach and should have the energy and drive to turn around the program. I too believe it will only be a matter of time before Harbaugh goes back to the NFL ( if he leaves at all.) They know that Miles will probably only coach another 5-10 years. I think he would put the work in to get Michigan back. He is a great recruiter and the Big 10 is not the SEC. Defeat Ohio State and Michigan St and you should have a spot in the playoff. I could see Michigan throwing a $6.5 - 7 million dollar offer at Miles if Harbaugh turns them down. They don't want to be embarassed a 3rd time. They HAVE to get it right this time.

I think most of the high paid college coaches are overpaid- Where does it stop?

I love sports as much as the next guy but we are allowing the entertainment sector to define our culture. We accept thugs, cheating and who knows what else----

Years ago we played football, built character in players.

Now many players are characters of interest

WRONG!! They passed on him all three times. FACT!! Find someone other than Stanley Jacobs and Skip Bertman, the two who stand to gain the most out of saying they really wanted Miles but he turned them down cause he is more loyal to LSU

Bruh youre stupid. Every single analyst says michigan put out feelers for Miles.

Yes. In the last few years salaries have skyrocketed. But LSU's standing in the SEC has fallen.

If you are honest with yourself LSU is in the middle the pack in the secw. We are paying our coaches a lot more than that.

LSU spares no expense for football.

If we continue the recent trend of around 4th place in our division then yes. His salary is probably close to correct given the recent upswing.

Next year will tell a lot. We need to beat Bama sooner rather than later. We have played them to the end but they keep coming up with the W. Les needs to fix that or his time will not be long.

We're talking 7 or 8 mil a year being the ceiling. Given this fact, would you really say Miles is overpaid? I think he's about where he should be.

Well. Look around the country at coaching salaries, then count the number of active head coaches who have won a national championship. There are 3 in the SEC; Spurrier, Saban, and Miles. Spurrier hasn't won anything in almost 2 decades.

The top paid coaches in the SEC are Saban, Sumlin, then Freeze and Miles tied at 3rd. Based purely off of on-field achievement in a relevant time frame Miles should be no worse than tied for second highest paid coach in the conference.

Maybe he shouldn't be paid more than he is, but Sumlin and Freeze should be paid less.

His salary is inversely proportional to the end result the last couple of years concluding with this one. He's been paid well for his time here but it obvious that the talent is too much for him. Our players go to the NFL and perform quite well, he has had 10 years to produce QBs and we are in a hole right now. When a coach get paid top 5 money and recruits top 5 teams we should end better than outside of the top 20. IMO, my tiger rant on LM.

1. Someone states that the "everyone wants Miles" notion is unfounded due to lack of evidence.

2. You sit there and try to make an argument solely based on "Well how do YOU know he doesn't get offers? I don't know that he does, but you don't know that he doesn't!!"

3. Thread hijacked by desperate defense.

Jesus.
