Is Miles really overpaid given the new salary ranges?

We're talking 7 or 8 mil a year being the ceiling. Given this fact, would you really say Miles is overpaid? I think he's about where he should be.

Right where he needs to be. If he wins another NC, is contract will put him in that stratosphere. Till then LSU needs to sit tight at 4.3. Having his alma mater pass on him a 3rd time and no NC to show for all that NFL talent has cooled the jets of the "any team would love to have Miles" crowd.

He passed on Michigan, not the other way around. I don't give a chite what your beer buddies say, that is the truth.

Actually he has a NC.

I've never really understood the rationale of this bunch. It's not like Les has other schools beating down the door to talk to him every year.

You know this how? Do you have his agent's phone tapped?
You have no idea how many places might or might not have called to express interest in Miles. So shite like you spewed is totally ignorant.
But carry on if that is what it takes for you to feel like you are a member of the "in" crowd.

Gray Tiger anytime anybody points out the obvious regarding Les Miles:

Go pound sand, Grandpa.

Miles is not overpaid for anyone with a brain. His program had a $50 million profit last year.

WRONG!! They passed on him all three times. FACT!! Find someone other than Stanley Jacobs and Skip Bertman, the two who stand to gain the most out of saying they really wanted Miles but he turned them down cause he is more loyal to LSU, that says it happened the way you discribe!! Any perceived interest on UM part in Miles was merely to placate the fans when the UM admin and influentials had no intention of ever serioulsy considering him. FACT!! There are several UM posters on here who can chime in to that effect.

Of course your are. Ignorance always laughs at the truth.

But insults aside, what credible sources do you have to back up your claim?

Irony.

It's not logically possible to prove a negative.

What is YOUR rationale for believing that other schools may be approaching him? None of which anybody has ever heard about? Which, given the nature of the media and sports agents today, seems EXTREMELY unlikely.

Perhaps you can link something?

UM fans that post here? Seriously you are depending on unknown supposed fans from another university to prove your point? That's it?
Ok let me see if I got this right:
People whose real names, locations and or football loyalty can not be proven posted anonymously in a fan board stating something that they couldn't prove was right and you bought it?
That is your FACT?

I never said they did. I am just asserting that you have no idea if they had or not. Which is the truth. You are clueless. That's sad isn't it?
