he wholeheartedly blamed prominent public figures like the sharptons of the world for divisive racial rhetoric. blamed the mayor of NYC, obama, and holder for throwing the police (both in nyc, and around the country) under the bus
Just to be clear, did he place ALL of the blame on them, or is he willing to spread the blame to both sides?

he blamed the public figures for giving an avenue for citizens to protest at the levels that they are via race baiting and escelating tensions. he did not blame the public figures on the actions from both sides themselves but was making the point that the mayor, holder and obama could have addressed this situation in a different, more calming way. he is a man in blue so of course he will take that side but the points he brought up were very valid. he made sure to say he's just trying to give a counter argument to what the media and politicians are addressing.

It's only divise because those of you that think it's divise want nothing to do with bringing racial harmony to this country. You want to live in a world that ignores the blatant and gross racial injusticss and disparities that we have and live under this guise that all Americans are afforded the same rights and privileges
Posted on 12/26/14 at 2:12 pm to Five0
It's not divisive unless you don't think that we don't have a severe problem with how minorites are treated in this country.

The video pushed the story in NYC, not All Sharpton.
Also this general idea that people should ignore cases of police killings until black on black crime is solved or saying that people aren't trying to address that is deflection.

focusing on black criminals asking to get killed then getting killed by cops is deflecting the real problem.

Maybe they were valid. I didn't watch it, so can't say. From the way you've described it though, he was just as divisive as those he's accusing of the same.
Posted on 12/26/14 at 2:35 pm to The Spleen
well maybe you should watch it and decide from there. like i said first and foremost, my summarization prob doesnt do him justice nor does it put what he said in correct context.

Garner was asking to get killed?

I would work for this man.

If he said this then he is absolutely correct - I have been preaching that theme for months.
These 'leaders' are pathetic - they are rabble rousers with no concern for the consequences of the actions their rabble is prompted to take.
Leadership would have put a damper on the false narrative at the core of these protest/riots. It would be fine to have a real 'discussion' about whatever real or perceived grievances there may be. But these 'leaders' don't want a conversation - they want a bullhorn for one side of the the issue and a silencer on the other side.
They are feckless - and culpable.

StrongSafety...c'mon man! If your play on the field is as weak as your posts have been lately your arse would be getting benched on a Pop Warner team.

The race tactic is just a diversion in order to implement militarization of the police. Now will every precinct or station be more militarized, no. But I don't think any police unit needs MRAPS. That concerns me. Now with that said, mr. Clarke is right on with his comments.
Posted on 12/27/14 at 12:55 pm to roguetiger15
Clarke has been on Megyn Kelly a few times & the first time he kept his comments on Sharpton short & to the point: "Sharpton is pure garbage".

Discussing all these protests. The black community will not like this. He's not falling in line and he just threw Sharpton under the bus, rolled over him, reversed and rolled over him again.
Depends on if "the truth matters", clearly doesn't to Al and Co., they think truth is what you can fool someone into believing not against any objective standard because Libs believe in relativism so all truth is relative.

Black police officer says what most of this board has already said about recent protests against police brutality.
Maybe I'm missing something but the only thing that seemed at all special about this is that the guy saying it was black. What he actually said seems to be pretty standard rhetoric from one side of the discussion, and while black people tend to be on the other side of that discussion, he's also a police officer, so it makes sense that he would fall on the side of the police.
Just not seeing the big deal, sorry.

Eric Holder is the chief law enforcement officer in the nation. Allegiance doesn't always fall the way you're describing it falls.
