Feel free to watch. The main thing I wanted to point out is the amount of times we threw the ball in his 1st career start. I mean, the plays that we designed for him were pretty good. Nice dump offs to Connor Neighbors, short throws to Landry. I was some what shocked as to how many times we threw that game. I know we had Landry/Beckham but the playcalling was reasonable and fitting for his 1st start.

Why did it regress so much? Jesus Christ, we all knew Odell/Landry were NFL ready but how can't we run a similar offense like this with Travin and Malachi. Lots of play-action on 1st down, threw deep a good bit and little dump offs.

Just being realistic here but it's safe to say our offense hasn't progressed whatsoever after this game and Wisconsin.

Honestly, we threw too much in that game (not unlike Ole Miss game earlier in the year). Hill was going off and his final TD run was a man's run. Hell of a way to go out in his final game as a Tiger.

I don't think we threw it too many times. He was never put in a situation that asked him to do "too" much. It looked as if Cam called a great game passing wise. Thought that play-calling would lead into this year but I don't understand why it didn't after those first couple games.

This is what it will look like when we have OC to QB and QB confidence in general. Jennings wasn't helpes out by our inexpierence this year. This offense can be so deadly and explosive if the stars just align.

And I thought it was an awful game at the time and he would look much better this season.

lot of excuses made after that game but he looks just as bad now as he did then except he has more confidence running

Lol, the deep ball just isn't there. It was hard to watch. Love AJ, I just don't see him leading this team to a Natl Champ yet alone an SEC Championship.

Yeah, it's time to move on. Maybe he can have a TJ Yates, or Jason Campbell, etc, senior year if he is needed, but it's time to pass the torch to the more talented player. Harris should be good and ready to take the reins next year. Even if he stumbles early, it should work out for us better in the end.

You pretty much answered your own question. It's because we had OBJ and Juice. It pains me to say it, but Jennings hasn't hasn't progressed at all as a passer since that game. It's the same qb we saw all this year minus a few decent runs.

Because only one of them knows what he's supposed to do. Cam runs a very complex offense. The plays change sometime AS THE BALL IS BEING SNAPPED. Receivers and QB have to be relied upon to make the right reads, run the correct routes, and make the right throws. This season our QBs could not quite do it, and our receivers couldn't either. That's why they were more conservative.

Was that supposed to be highlights or lowlights???

4 sacks, terrible accuracy, and a pick six!

I'd say that was pretty much a preview of what this season turned out to be.

WR drops combined with LF in the backfield. Why throw more to young WRs when you can give those touches to LF?

I'll say one thing positive; he sets his feet more often when throwing now. That was brutal. It looked a lot like Harris vs Auburn honestly. The way Jennings started that game was ok, but he got worse and worse as the pressure grew. I watched his high school highlights again as well and I just don't see much improvement at all.

The torch is extinguished and safely tucked away for the next 2 years, that is unless AJ leaves early for the pros.

I think we have to have Harris play to his potential to reach any big time goals. Unless Jennings becomes a strict read option QB, I don't see him being enough of a threat to help this team win big games consistently. And I really don't want to watch a read option team.

There were highlights?

Sarcasm, but the stars of that game were Hill and Beckham. Beckham made a really nice grab, if I recall. Hill should have toted the rock more in my opinion also.
