well yea but they should be allowed to go in and close out instead of being charged extra.

Only thing that is important to me at this point.. The guy was thrown down with extreme prejudice and the cop lied in his report.. Pretty much throws all credibility the cops claim in this incident out the window.. Sucks that the cops can't be honest.

it should be the third or fourth week of January when it is announced that the officers did nothing wrong and have been cleared.

No questions will be answered due to an ongoing investigation into the bystanders criminal activities.

The end

I love these small government conservative bootlickers on facebook trying to shame WAFB for reporting anything negative about the police.

Some of them apparently believe that if you've been drinking and/or say something to a government employee then they are well within their rights to beat you up and lie about what you did in order to charge you with a felony crime.

What's worse is those types are usually the same people who bitch the loudest about the big bad federal govt violating their rights.

Not as long as mental midgets like yourself continue to be hired by PDs all across America.

Cops are very dangerous people to offend, IMO.

Also, I find this all incredibly hard to believe. Your friend and those others involved should have just left, otherwise this wouldn't be up for discussion.

You're embarassing yourself again. Just because you got all C's in high school and were unable to leave your mom's house doesn't justify you being a complete tool.

I seriously doubt the cop just randomly saw your friend come out and smoke and told him to leave without anything happening

Dunno how it works in BR but I've had this happen to me and seen it happen to others multiple times in Dallas, College Station, Sherman, and Tyler.

In Dallas on Halloween weekend in the Lower Greenville area a cop lied to my face claiming he had told me multiple times to leave the outside of a bar when I had walked out and stopped to wait for my brother who was taking a leak before we left. He cursed and threatened to arrest me for loitering when I had been outside for about all of 30 seconds.

College Station is a mecca for d-bag cops who grab kids for doing nothing and trumping up the charges. I saw quite a few people get cuffed for not leaving bars fast enough for their liking.

In Sherman I was at a friends pre party. There were maybe 15 people at the house and some cops (who clearly decided to come up b/c they saw some girls smoking cigs on the porch) claimed they had been getting calls from neighbors all night about the noise. When the girl who rented the house tried to shut the door behind her when she went out to talk to them one of them grabbed her arm and slung her aside so hard she fell down and bruised the hell out of her legs. He claimed he could see underage drinking. Only problem was that there was nobody drinking on the porch, we were all of age, the other people were in the kitchen so he couldn't possibly have seen them. It wasn't possible for there to be calls from angry neighbors b/c of the two house on the left, one was abandoned with the other occupied by people at the pre party. The house on the right the people were out of town and actually had the girl who got tossed watching it for them b/c she baby sat for them. Across the street was a student house and those girls were also at the pre party. Next to that was an empty field, train tracks, and the Austin College education building which was empty b/c class was out. There wasn't any music playing for anyone to claim we were blaring it all night either. They "let us off" with a warning.

In Tyler when I worked for a news station I got pulled over and the cop lied by claiming he saw me stumble out of the bar I had just left. In reality I was at the bar waiting for the last 15 minutes of the 10pm to air before I went to meet a group of news people to see a movie. I had a single water at the bar while talking with my assignments editor. The cop had me walk the line, say ABCs backwards, and finally made me blow. It took so long I missed the start of the movie and ended up going home. Of course the movie was Lady in the Water so his bullshite actually did me a solid.

Definitely know some of the people in the video. Don't really know the guy that got knocked down but know the others. That sucks. Seems like he has a case and someone should lose some pay or even a job over this. BRPD needs to make a statement and an example of this to all other officers.

Yeah I know most of em in the video, we all usually go have some drinks together throughout the week. And the people saying that they can't handle their alcohol are idiots, these motherfrickers can handle their alcohol. Especially since it was only midnight. When they go out they're out all night.
