A rumor from "the catering staff"? Please.

Harbaugh hasn't signed anything. If He did so, he would be in Breach of Contract, and dont think that SF wouldn't have found out. If he had, Vic Fangio would be the HC on Sunday afternoon.

SF is not going to forego $2.5 Mil out of Christmas Cheer. It would set a bad precedent, and would not be very popular with 31 other individuals and the Commish...bad business to knuckle under to malcontents.

There's going to be a rash of firing's in the NFL and Harbaugh's agent would be the biggest idiot on the planet not to entertain trade offers from SF, and that will not happen, if at all, until after regular season finale.

He could very well, but pretending that's been decided at this juncture without his NFL prospects being able to be determined is totally comical.

They've been determined. He knows what out there. He chose Michigan. They're going to announce it Tuesday.

Yep, you're an idiot.

A trade offer palatable to both SF and Harbaugh could come at any point in time, assuming it hasn't already. You can stop pretending you have a clue.

It's tough to admit when one is wrong. I get that. May want to stop arguing though. It's over. He's going to Michigan.

There is nothing but disinformation and misinformation out there right now because it is agents, press and NFL FO types in charge of the story.

Remember it was Harbaugh himself who floated the rumor of Miami offering $7mm then he took $5mm from SF. Trust no one, trust nothing until you see Harbaugh standing behind a podium.

If he was going to Michigan why wait to announce it? Unless Harbaugh wants to see what shakes out from black Monday first. There is no reason to wait to announce him going to michigan other wise

There is a certain protocol and you can't formally ripcord on your team before the games are all played. It's crazy that everyone will just accept it if he goes to Ann Arbor on Tuesday or Wednesday (as if the deal wasn't already in place), but that's how it is.

If he is going to Michigan then why would the 49ers want to keep him around? They are eliminated from the playoffs, there is one game and then the season is over, that's it.

The last game is meaningless and if they are letting him go to michigan then why wait? He could be putting staff together and getting ready for recruiting on jan 5. SF doesn't want him back, that was clear when the info leaked by jay glazer in Sept. that he was not coming back. So why keep him around?

Because all of this is chess between Harbaugh, his agent and the 49ers. Both sides are waiting until black Monday to see what shakes out. Harbaugh has Michigan as his fall back. SF has Michigan as their fall back as well, he goes to Michigan they don't have to fire him and pay him $5mm.

UM and SF have negotiated a buy out. Harbaugh and Michigan have agreed to a deal. He's going to coach this weekend and then tell his team after the game he is leaving. He will sign it Monday and be announced Tuesday. He will speak at half time of the UM-Illinois game. DJ Durkin is going to be the DC with Greg Mattison and Roy Manning staying on staff.

Wilharsha is Trey Anastasio's alter

He is just trolling you guys

While what he is saying may indeed be true I find it extremely suspect that the reason is what he says it is. There is simply no reason for SF to let him coach the final game if he is leaving. There is more going on than any of us can possibly know

Doesn't SF have to pay Harbaugh if they fire him? If he leaves on his own, he owes the 49ers. That's reason enough for both sides to let this play out.
