My daughter had a friend spend the night last night. She woke feeling bad. It's the flu.

I was going to post a '7 days' gif from The Ring but got freaked out searching for one so I gave up.

My son woke up with 102.3 fever on Thursday; figured it was flu as my husband had just been swabbed on Monday with a positive result.
Husband felt better within 24 hours of Tamiflu (like MUCH better) and son was the same. After 24 hours neither had fever anymore.
I'd take my kid in NOW for Tamiflu.
eta: and everyone else wash your hands like crazy ... no touching your eyes/nose/mouth. Good luck. The other 3 in the house haven't gotten it yet.

You'd think this would be common sense hygiene, but read a pee thread on here. Most guys on this board don't wash after they pee. Nasty.

quote:Be careful with that stuff. Flu went through our house over the past few weeks, and four of us--2 kids and 2 adults--took Tamiflu. For one adult it helped a little, for one it caused some pretty major psychological issues (but little flu relief), and for both kids it worked well (but with psychological problems for one). In short, two out of four experienced some kind of altered emotions (fear, anxiety, nightmares, etc.) while taking Tamiflu.

Might as well burn the house down, just to be safe

Well, apparently, it is about 2 days.

The average lifespan is 2-3 years but they should be migrating south this time of year. Open up the doors and windows and don't breathe too deep and you should be fine
