At the end of the season, sure. At this point in the season though, KenPom is still using old data from last season to make up for the lack of data from this season.

But all you guys talking about this are completely missing the point. OP didn't say that LSU being 16 in the RPI means we're really the 16th best team in basketball, and no one in this thread has claimed that the RPI is accurate at predicting wins and losses. Thing is, the NCAA Selection Committee is instructed to use the RPI as one of the major factors in their selection process. In recent years, LSU's RPI has been bad because of weak OOC scheduling. This year, our RPI is pretty good as we're heading into conference play.
