Was a 25F (Network systems operator) but did a mandatory re-class to 25N (Nodal network system operator). Was last at Gordon in 2010.

You should look up Don Shipley on YouTube. He's a former Navy Seal does a ton of videos on guys pretending to be Seals and outs them over the phone on his vids.

Yep. They stopped running up Willard Hill and the woods for a while after I left because so many people were getting broken ankles and knee injuries.

I hate that these guys do this but I love reading these stories of them getting busted.

This one is good - I never served in military but I could call this guy out from this pic alone.

I have great memories of my time at Ft. Resort. Probably would have done my 20 if every post was like that.

Instead of quizzing them, why don't they take the high road and politely let him know they notice he's a fraud and why that's fricked up?

It's always the three year vets that get all riled up about it. Just relax and walk away. I find it funny when active duty guys walk around in their uniform begging for attention.

quote:

It is a privilege for Americans to serve in uniform, and in particular an honor to be chosen to serve in the United States Marine Corps. But these imposters, these brazen charlatans who lay claim to these undeserved honors make it an absolute disgrace — a true dishonor — to all of us who have served in uniform. Let alone suffered the pain of battle, faced an enemy, collected the dead and wounded, and lived with the aftermath of doing a job that most cannot fathom, or would ever wish to perform. Of course, these imposters do more than dishonor those of us who have served. They dishonor the values and integrity of our nation and its proud heritage.

No arguing with that. I stand behind them and support 100%

The uniform means something to those who've worn it. Maybe you'll get it one day when you grow up. It's doubtful but theres always hope.
