So I was given a smith and Wesson 38 special revolver. This gun is in MINT condition and has only been fired 20 times. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the year it was made and value. Model #15-3
Serial #1K11xxx
Thanks in advance

15-3 was manufactured between 1967 and 1977. If you have the original box and papers it's worth $450-$500.
All of 15-3's are pinned. The pinned barrels weren't discontinued until 1983.

Probably could get $600 for it if you were patient.
Old smiths are very sweet plinking guns if you're into shooting. If not I'd just oil it up real good and keep it.
I'll give you $300 for it if you just want it gone though lol

The pin is what was used to secure the barrel to the frame. Current day Smiths are secured with a thread and torqued onto the frame.
