From 1900-1999 select a decade in which you would have had the most fun or experienced the coolest things as a 16 year old.

1970s for me :groovy:

Meh... Internet age is where its at. I was born in 82' so remember and have fond memories of the 80's but in the 90's you had much more technology but still could get away with shite. 00's even more so. 10's have the easiest access to things including easiest arse, but things are maybe too wide open.

I doubt that there was a better time to be 16 than the early to mid 80s (at least in South Louisiana pre-oil crunch). It seems as though alcohol was plentiful, there was lots to do, great movies, drinking age was just 18, no war threatening to draft you, roaring economy

minuses: shitty music, AIDS (although that didn't come until later), ugly women

the late 60's seem like they would have been awesome if not for the specter of Vietnam hanging over everyones's heads.

Early 70's are the same as the late 60's. Late 70's had a shitty economy, disco, and the gasoline shortage thanks to the embargo.

With that in mind, maybe the late 50's/early 60's would have been the best.

born in 81 and I'm with you guys, the 90s was awesome, but it would have been even better to be 16 after the internet really took off in the 00's

It's got to be 70s, 80s, or 90s; otherwise you have a good chance of fighting in a war or living through a depression.
I was 16 in the 70s so I'll say 80s- I would have begun my professional life at the dawn of the internet era.
