It's a lazy, unresponsive governmental entity, I'll let you figure it out.

Where you going to trade it in for a new car? If so, they can apply for duplicate title for you if you signed a POA to do so.

I live in Alabama now, but paid cash for my truck in La. When I moved here, my original title was lost in the move. It's been over a month and the La. Dept of PS. hasn't sent me a damn thing. I told them that the original title was lost and I know that they have a copy of it. I have the registration and the actual paper showing how I made the purchase and I'm definitely the owner. I have people who want to buy my truck, but the idiots that are state workers in La. haven't done crap. I've emailed, called them and got my relatives in BR. involved. but I still haven't received a damn thing.

I bet if you still lived in Avondale it wouldn't be such a pain in the arse.

Why would you need a duplicate if you're getting rid of the POS?

We need proof that we actually own the car to sell it.

What's funny is that you're complaining about something you had total control over from the beginning. People always find something to bitch about.

edit::::i thought avondale88 was the op. my fault

One...I'm not complaining about anything. Two it's my wife's car. She lost the title, her home, and everything else during Katrina but you're right we had total control of it. Thanks for playing buddy

And now she needs the car title? Are we supposed to feel bad for you because you forgot (were too lazy?) to get a replacement title in the past 9.25 years?
