On a bad team, dude has been very good. Not a gunslinger, but a very effective QB and heady player. I think he was widely considered 4th or 5th best QB in this draft. Obviously, it's very early but he's been good. Harbaugh will have a good young QB to work with.

Bortles
Bridgewater
Manziel
Garrapolo
Carr

I can see him having a Carson Palmer type career. Thoughts?

At quarterback.

Bridgewater for sure. He has like a 75% completion rate and passing rating of 100+ over his past four games.

Bridgewater would be the other. He does have the benefit of Norv Turner teaching him at QB.

Eta I guess I am bringing up Carr because it seems like he gets overlooked in Oakland. Everyone knows about Teddy

I think he's been the best. Still has a ways to go but really like what I've seen. Still hoping for that dynamic wide receiver in the next draft.

You've got to be kidding. Bridgewater hands down. MN has no running game after losing AP. Receivers are terrible, and our best TE, Rudolph, has been hurt. Despite all this, Teddy has very played well. I'm from MN and have watched all out games. Teddy is the real deal.

I am not denying Teddy, but I think you are off if you think Teddy's surrounding cast is worse. It's obviously better. Maybe not a ton, but better. Plus Teddy plays in a shitty defensive division.

But I really like Teddy and he is the other argument (and only one really) in this discussion.

Lol

Are you familiar with the Raider's personnel? Their offense is made up of nobodies, too. And their defense is deplorable and cannot keep them in any games.

Not to discredit Teddy bc he has made some fine throws. But Carr has flashed better long term success for me

Nice

Marcel Reece, McFadden, and Mychal Rivera were 3 of his 5 leading pass catchers. Top 2 WRs were james jones and andre Holmes lol

I think Carr has been the best overall. But Bridgewater has been playing better these last few weeks though.

Bare indeed, Reece is a great player, Rivera is a solid young TE.

Long ways to go but I'm glad we've got Mack and Carr to build around.

Mack another sack today. Just a monster.

Needs a few legit WRs. Seems like Murray could be the answer at RB

I think it has to be Bridgewater.

Carr has played 3 additional games; YPA, Completion %, QBR-- all are decisive Bridgewater advantages.

For me, the biggest thing is YPA; that's usually the hidden golden metric for QB development, in terms of how they are seeing the field-- and the difference is about a yard and a half per attempt.

Part of me wants Cooper, which may happen now that we're out of the top 4 picks with today's win.

But the front office wants that USC DT/DE to pair on Macks side and shut down that side of the field.

I'm happy with both. I believe there are some decent FA to be WR 's to be this year so maybe just sign one.

As for Murray, they've found something with him and DMac rotating. I think he's too little for a true #1 but with a good complimentary back he's very solid. LOL@MJD though.

How he's seeing the field or the inability of his WRs to gain separation? He's checked down a ton, hence the YPA. But if you watched him he put the ball on the WRs when they are open.

That team has played from behind all season long. He has amassed 200 more pass attempts than TB has by playing catchup every game. No run game, no defense, no WRs, and is still going to finish with an impressive TD:INT

Bridgewater deserves credit. He has managed games well in that russ Wilson mode. He's not making too many mistakes that cost his team. At the same time, that defense and some inferior opponents have helped him out a bit, too.
