Some hard decisions have to be made. My confidence in Payton / Loomis is at an all time low...

Time to move Colston. His performance does not equate to his salary

The production from the roster is night and day compared to "on paper" roster.

Changes have to be made, even if they eat cap next year.

No. I have no confidence whatsoever that the roster can be sufficiently built during the Drew Brees Era of Saints football.

Next time the Saints win the SB again will be sometime in the future after Drew is retired.

This is what makes the NFL suck to me. When a team starts winning only a few players get the money and the whole thing collapses.

Hell no, too much money is tied up in 3-4 players. Not to mention we let a bunch of core players go to sign these 3-4 players. The team is washed up and the front office has let the talent decline.

Albatross around this team's neck for the next couple of years- don't feel much confidence in next season, in fact, could get much worse...

NE and GB have expensive QBs and are doing just fine. They key is figuring out when to cut bait with the other big money players. NE has been outstanding in that regard, thus the reason for their sustained success

I would expect Sean Payton has the final say in most roster moves.

I think NE owes a lot of success to being in perennial shitty division. I also agree that the do great drafting and developing guys. And like you said, they cut bait at the right time with the veterans.

To sustain winning, your front office must learn how to build a roster via the draft.

This franchise never in it's history developed a knack for doing that for any stretch of time.

I have complete faith. Brees will restructure and take a paycut. The defense will be improved. Byrd and Vaccaro will be good next year. We will draft a good corner and a good center.
