and let me be clear. i don't give a frick about the classes. i just had to point that stuff out in response to the article claiming LSU law is racist. LSU law goes out of its way to cater to minority students who often are unqualified (and LSU law is not some great law school, so i mean we're talking about students with serious issues for any grad school program).
LSU can only do so much to increase minority enrollment. LSU can only do so much to increase the minority representation of its faculty, as the majority of teachers at the school are civilian. there are simply only so many civilian scholars in the United States, and you're mainly drawing from LSU itself. that means you're drawing from the small minority population of the LSU law student body.
so LSU law has to recruit minority profs from common law. not only is this difficult (same issue as students. minority profs know they're worth their weight in gold so they go for superior programs, so LSU has to rely on lesser candidates or pay a frick ton of money). LSU is a stepping stone program for minority professors. 2 black profs while i was there were hired by other schools (one became a dean).
also, i'm no big sunshine pumper for LSU law. but i will defend them on this issue b/c there is little they can do

Right! There is only so much you can do when:

since you went there I will point out the fact that only one in 6 black people is as smart or smarter than the AVERAGE white person and that is why we have a racial divide. It really is that simple.
If black people really wanted to figure out a way to succeed they would acknowledge this.

my co-worker told me about all of this
SJWs and young people who work on political campaigns/ are congressional aides are quickly becoming my least favorite groups of people in the world

i'm not making that argument, and even if that argument were true, it's irrelevant b/c getting into LSU law isn't some amazing feat

That is what you are not understanding. For them, statistically speaking, it IS in amazing feat. Blacks make up 13% of the population and have, as a race, much lower IQs than Whites and Asians. You not understanding this, or just writing it off as irrelevant, is the textbook definition of White Privilege.

And, it ain't gonna happen with an article saying: despite LSU LAW's efforts, minorities are still underrepresented, but the school takes great care to ensure they are successful and welcomed at the school.
So I'm guessing the article also doesn't mention minorities attending lsu law for little or no tuition at all to keep numbers up? That would probably be racist.

i am curious what the author in the OP had for admissions stats along with what his tuition actually costs him

At OM law, they are ridiculously lax on AA applicants. There are black people I know who had way worse GPAs and LSAT scores who were given full rides. Ole Miss is trying too hard to reverse their image of racism and it's gone too far. There are some seriously "special" people at OM law

secret classes
They weren't secret. All minorities and second timers got the same extra study sessions provided by the professors. Attrition still won out though.

Whats truly said is everyone knows this occurs and all it does it hurt the best of the black race. They could be absolutely brilliant but people are still going to think they only got accepted and made it through law school because of their race. I would be PISSED if I was a highly intelligent black person that was able to make it without help.

Fwiw I know nothing of LSU Law but I had lunch with their chancellor the other day and he seemed like a good guy

I am sure he is, its not like he can control this if he wants to keep his job.

We had 7 minority students in my section. 2 were from GA, and had not applied for admission. They had just gotten letters offering them slots in the class, after graduating in education. After the first year 6 of the 7 flunked out, and the last guy was on some sort of probation, but he ultimately made it, I think.
LSU Law bends over backwards to admit and prepare minorities, but it has always been a difficult school. Bar Review Boot Camp. It's reputation drives away a lot of qualified applicants. If you can go to law school for free anywhere, why go where they treat you like shite and flunk you out in high percentages?

That entire post is correct. Unequivocally.

I've met the author before. I'm surprised he wrote about race and not LGBT.
