I feel we need a thread dedicated to some classic matches.

1989 Liverpool v Arsenal. Decided the league.

ETA: Great idea for a thread.

Arsenal had to win by 2 goals to take the title.

Arsenal had lost the first leg at Highbury 3-0 and needed to win by 4 goals at the San Siro.. Yep it happened. The best comeback in the history of the UCL.

ETA..

Better highlights..

LINK

Love it..

FA CUP Final 1970 (Chelsea/Leeds)

ETA: Proof Chelsea existed before 2004.

Only idiots think that.

Did you just post an almost 3 hour video?

It's the end of the first game and the entire replay.

It was the first FA Cup Final to require a replay for over 50 years.

ETA:

Modern-day referee David Elleray reviewed the match in 1997, and concluded that the sides would have received six red cards and twenty yellow cards between them, in the modern era of football

I watched and that was awesome.

Pretty much. Again, a great idea for a thread.

Agreed. I'm wrapping up my biggest project of the year at work this week, which means the next two weeks I won't have shite to do but watch YouTube video. This thread will be my starting point.

Coming in with my blatant City favoritism here.....

City vs. QPR in 2012 to win the league.

Dzeko and Aguero both scored in stoppage to win the title 3-2 in dramatic fashion.

Best part is this video.......fricking United players/fans thinking they won.

LINK

Did get us back that next year though when I think they won by like 20 points.

Today's entry: Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle (1996)

Was about to immediately post this but fortunately read through the thread first.

Also Martin Tyler calling the game manages to make it even better, don't have time to rewatch the video right now but I'm fairly certain at the end of that game he said something to the effect of "have you ever known 90 minutes to pass so quickly?" That quote always pops up in my head along with his voice after I watch a great match and somehow I'm still not sick of it.
