OK. Give me some SONY conspiracy theories

cause the idea that they TOTALLY quashed a movie just because of theater violence threats seems highly unlikely. And, if it's the violence PLUS the hack, then the idea that what we found from the hack is the full disclosure seems unlikely.
It would seem that if violence and the hack were the problem, then you still release the thing straight to video or something.
So, in my view, there is clearly another shoe to drop. What is it?
1)Is it that more bad shite is in the SONY hack? That seems weird. I mean, what email could be that bad?
2)Is it corporate tech secrets that are a threat to be disclosed?
3)Or, even bigger conspiracy land, is the problem SONY at all? IE, is there a greater threat going unspoken that has provoked the govt to ask SONY to pull the plug while still issuing rhetoric that it's a bad idea?
Honestly, it's all a guess but the actual story being released just seems highly unlikely at best.

This. The only way I'd come close to believing a serious conspiracy theory about this would be if we start seeing legislation being brought forth very soon to deal with "internet security" for "national security" reasons.
I just think Sony has dirty laundry and it using any excuse to keep it hidden.

Sony is going to make a fortune off of this free publicity.

Thetans.
They're real. And in n. Korea.

I think this is the real driver. They may have more explicitly racist or otherwise highly damning emails yet to release - which, like all blackmail, means that Sony works for N. Korea now.
Just like that. Once it's pulled that's it (South Park is spot on for this issue. Speaking of which, I wonder how Matt and Trey are going to respond to this...)

No one at SONY is irreplaceable. Let's say the CEO has tons of awful emails. Unless a majority of the board has the same problem, why not just cast the CEO aside and drive on?
If the CEO is keeping said problem a secret, one would think reasonably bright people who are on the board would say, "wait, what the frick are we capitulating for?"

Sadly, we may have to wait until next year for their episode about this.

I just provided a conspiracy theory. If we see legislation in the next year on some form of SOPA, I will point to this. However, I believe there is so much dirt that Sony has that they don't want released. Hollywood is sleaze ball territory. Google Anthony Pelicano and wiretapping. That is how Hollywood operates.

This movie would have been a massive "bomb" no pun intended. Had the "cyber attacks" not occurred. Was anyone even remotely interested in seeing this before the hype.

Emails related to pedophilia in Hollywood.

Which episode are you referring to?

I wouldn't have watched it. I can't stand Seth Rogen. He is one of very few actors that I actively avoid. (Russell Brand is another.) However, Sony made the wrong decision.

I think the hackers found more juice on SONY that they didn't want for the public to be aware of. Who knows at this point however.

Clearly it's because Sony was involved in the fabrication of the events at Sandy Hook. A few executives were about to go rogue and expose the conspiracy and this was Obama's way of keeping them in line.

Have you ever seen the movie Argo? The whole movie could be fake in order to entrap North Korea into committing a cyber attack. In return Sony Pictures get sole rights to the documentary when the real story comes out.
That or it's a rival corporation or (my guess) Sony itself in a publicity stunt that got out of hand.

The Family Guy episode in which Cartman was attempting to get a Family Guy episode pulled because it showed "the prophet Mohammed" - as terrorists were threatening to do terrorist things if the episode aired.
Cartman simply hated Family Guy and thought that was the perfect way to get the show cancelled because once one group gets some cancelled due to being offended pretty soon every other group would do the same.
