I ordered something from Under Armor and it was shipped, via Fedex, on 12/11/14. Estimated delivery date is now 12/22/14.

Pony Express fact: "More than 1,800 miles in 10 days! From St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California the Pony Express could deliver a letter faster than ever before. In operation for only 18 months between April 1860 and October 1861, the Pony Express nevertheless has become synonymous with the Old West." LINK

The packed was shipped from Curtis Bay, MD...a distance of 1,134 miles to my house. Will take 11 days.

Fedex is slower than Pony Express. And someone on a bicycle could make it as fast.

You do realize that this is the absolute busiest time of the year to try and ship something right?

Did it depart the facility on the 11th? Or was the order processed on the 11th and "shipment created"

I think I may see the problem. Didn't notice that USPS was going to be involved. That may explain the inefficiency.

My experience over thousands of shipments and deliveries: If it were only USPS, delivery would have been quick and reliable. It's my service of choice. If it were only FedEx or UPS, delivery time would have been quick-to-mediocre, and if it were FedEx, they may have lost the package (it's happened twice to me, and FedEx is the only company to have lost my packages). If it's FedEx/UPS plus USPS to perform the final delivery, it's a guaranteed clusterfrick of waiting. Never choose that method.

Shipped right around $120,000 worth of chlorine valves using FedEx Freight. Picked up on 9/17, went out for delivery on 9/22 and disappeared.

This was a box strapped to a pallet weighing 900 lbs... and it just vanished.

Does USPS deliver to your delivery address? I have this problem when something ships FedEx and they fail to mention that they will drop it off with the local post office for final delivery.

FedEx delivers to my physical address... USPS does not.

Fed Ex is the worst of the shipping companies. Last item I received by them looked like it was dropped off the side of a mountain.

They exist because of their overnight service. UPS and USPS crush them with standard delivery service.
