I highly suspect this statement is in fact not true. The idea being you don't pay for love, friendships, or everyday experiences but those bring you the most joy. Well then why do we pay so much money to be entertained? I mean if you receive the most utilitarian benefit for free experiences why pay money to experience something else?

Also depends on the definition of "free". Everything has a cost.

"Money doesn't buy happiness? bullshite. It buys a waverunner. Ever seen someone unhappy on a waverunner? Just try riding one of those with a frown on your face. It's impossible."

Don't take it serious.

Only people with money make those claims. Love, friendships, etc. cost money. Nobody wants to be married to a broke dick and over time you eventually phase out your friends that can't ever do anything because they are broke.

The best things in life are free
But you can give them to the birds and bees
I want money

Your love gives me such a thrill
But your love won't pay my bills
I want money

Money don't get everything it's true
But what it don't get I can't use
I want money

I want money
I want lots of money
In fact I want so much money
Give me your money
Just give me money

You absolutely pay for them in terms of time invested, they're actually pretty damn expensive. You just don't necessarily have to pay in currency.

The meaning of life is "relationships"

Relationships are free no matter how you would like to spin it.

Yes it does.

The people that always say this are just stating it to make themselves feel better.

People that think money buys happiness are the same ones that set out to be happy. That is the problem.

Peace generates happiness. If you are seeking to be happy you will never be satisfied, you'll always want something or someone else. Peace is the goal. Happiness is the byproduct.

Really??? Explain please?

Explain to me these great 'free' experiences outside of hanging out with a homeless man.

nah, it keeps you insulated from some things, buys you a lot of toys and temporary diversions but you've got to find happiness, I've got a couple of uber wealthy friends that are bored and miserable as hell most of the time, one of the kids was so happy he jumped out of a 17th floor window of the MetLife building a few years back
