Been in New Orleans over 20 years. Why did it take me so long?

It was better than sex. I am dead serious.

I ate Popeye's on Hwy 59 in Mandeville for lunch and it was terrible. No wait and got spicy.

I was assured by many "experts" that it is marginal. But, then again, many of those people think their shite don't stank

I've read reviews that said the person had better chicken out of a gas station.
I've never had WM's though.

Personally I think WM's chicken is overrated. Gus's in Memphis is 10x better.

I haven't had Mchardy's in the city but have had all the other "best" places and Willie Mae's is top notch.

I thought Willie Mae's was good at the time I ate it... but that was before I are Gus's. Gus's was a religious experience.

A religious experience? I'm leaving for Memphis tomorrow to visit family. We will try it and see.

I wasn't impressed with Willie Mae's chicken. I was really excited to try it, had it once, and it made me queasy. I didn't think the red beans and rice had much flavor either. Maybe I went on a bad day, but it was enough to make me never go back.

If you go to Gus' get the ranch dressing. (BTW, its pronounced 'rainch') Alabama cocktail sauce.

I really liked it. Thought it was one of the places that lives up to the hype.

The Eagle in cincy also has some pretty top notch fried chicken.
