If he would have had a dog in the yard he would have heard it get shot first and had time to flush the weed.

You do not register non-NFA firearms in Louisiana. Probably has something to do with the fact that he had a firearm present during the commission of a crime.

Exciting news. Some dude selling a little pot turning into a news story about running a "drug operation" should really boost my property value.

ETA: yea nevermind. I'm dumb.

Did you bother to read the article? WAFB is reporting that it was over $300k worth of drugs. 24 POUNDS of pot.

Under Louisiana law it is an additional charge if you have a gun in conjunction with drugs. It is also a felony for a felon to be in possession of a firearm. I don't know whether this guy was a convicted felon or not but the first charge I mentioned definitely applies.

Holy crap, that's my neybuhewd.

Pretty scary knowing a thug like that was only a couple streets away with all those guns. The other day, I DID notice three police cars driving slowly around the neighborhood. It was really weird. That was probably before this went down.

Ok. I retract my previous statement.

This is not something I want in my neighborhood.

Classic republican logic on display. "Nothing wrong with having a gun. Guns are good to have around. Guns don't kill people. Wait... he's selling drugs and owns a gun?! He was going to use it to kill!!!"
