I've only had issues with Prime twice and it was likely a local UPS issue both times.

In both cases Amazon tacked on a free month of Prime service.

I've never had anything shipped late and more often than not, it comes early

That is normally true but I know last year they had a lot of issues with shipping times items that were not Prime and were not FBA.

Student Prime FTW! Before prime though, it usually came before if fulfilled or sold by Amazon.

Before I had Prime the longest I have had to wait on a package with free shipping if order is over $25 was 3 months. When I ordered it was in stock. I guess it was out of stock and on back order by the time they got around to processing my order.

Amazon use to be great about this. Most packages would arrive early or on time. Ever since they got that contract with USPS, I have had several late packages. USPS is the worst and their tracking system is beyond terrible. I even had prime at the time.

Edit: when people receive late packages, voice your opinion to them. Tell them ever since they signed with USPS it's been terrible. I did. I got like an extra month of prime, but maybe if they get enough complaints they won't renew with USPS.

Prime is awesome.
USPS sucks balls.

But hell, at least things don't take 4-6 weeks anymore.
