Why do poor people in developing countries have more kids

than people in industrialized countries?
You'd think the opposite would be true considering that people with uncertain futures would be hesitant to continue having children based on cost alone.

Les Miles has lost control of infant mortality in the developing world.

There is an inverse relationship between the number of kids that a person has and their intelligence.

1. less access to birth control
2. no child labor laws means that children can be a net gainer of income rather than a drain
3. health care and schooling in industrialized nations often makes having children unaffordable without being on government entitlement programs
4. women rarely have careers in developing countries, so they have more time to care for kids rather than have to pay to keep them in expensive schools or day-cares.

having sex is cheaper than having entertainment options.

Its like living in Ft Bridger, WY. Nothing to do except get drunk and frick. Expect in Muslim countries, you can't even get drunk, so that just leaves fricking.

Because their kids are much more likely to die before becoming adults. Its a way to ensure a high rate of fitness.

1. Children can be put to work
2. Little or no social safety net means you need offspring able to take care of them in your old age. And the more you have, the more likely some will be willing and able to do it.
3. Higher infant mortality means you have to produce several spares to insure that some reach adulthood.
Whenever a country begins to leave Third World status, the birth rate goes down. Happens without exception, regardless of religious or cultural factors. People instinctively will not raise more children than are necessary.

They are closer to the Darwinism, survival of the fittest, scale than industrialized nations.
In true survivalist societies, see animal groups, the singular goal of each individual is to propagate as many offspring as possible during sexual maturity.

a) woman in developing countries have less access to birth control
b) woman in developing countries can be involved in a situation where a man demands sex regularly
c) they need kids to support them in old age due to no SS

I remember this being a topic in a Global Economics class I took in school. The professor was pretty adamant that this was not the case. It has everything to do with mortality rates.
