This is an appreciation thread for the one and only "Beer Man" Michael Lewis! A dynamic returner for the Saints, he was a class act on and off the field. Other than Reggie Bush, he was the best returner in recent Saints history. We definitely could use him on special teams these days, that's for sure!

dudes an amateur. my confidence in the team last week single handedly gave them the support needed to walk into soldier field and kick some bare arse.

I'm guessing Tyrone Hughes isn't recent history? Awwww, I feel old. What about Chad Morton, Courtney Roby, Fred McAfee and Darren Sproles?

But yeah, much love and respect the Beer Man.

How his agent didn't get him a Budweiser commercial, I'll never know.

Beerman was better than all of them. Only Mel Gray's abbreviated time with the Saints keeps him from the top of this list.

All those guys were great, although Tyrone Hughes was before my Saints watching days ( I started watching the Saints in '99)

with the recent kickoff changes, michael lewis combined kick return yardage in the 2002 season will likely never be broken... unless they change the rules again.

Roby as far returns go was very MEH....His kick & punt coverage on the other hand were great!
