Is travel direct from the U.S. going to be allowed now?

Does this mean the mafia can go back to building casinos down there
if the local, corrupt govt there is more business savy than the local corrupt govt in Atlantic City, maybe they'll stay open more than a day or two.

Not 100%, no. No direct tourism yet.

Look south and you will see what happened to the lovely beaches of the Yucatan peninsula, especially Cancun. Big tourist boom in the 80s and 90s, deteriorating infrastructure and increasing crime now. I don't know many people who still go there. Like I said, once the novelty wears off, people will go elsewhere. Tropical beaches look a lot like each other; I know because I've actually traveled and seen them. Have you?!?!
Also, there Mexico always had high crime. It just ramped up violence and firepower when Mexico became our sworn ally in the War on Drugs... another decades old political failure whose time has come.

ps Fox news just interviewed a Cuban lady in Miami that brought up Obommas swap of the terrorists for the bergdahl traitor... "your president is a failure" I believe is what she said.

I'll ask again to those against this.
Are you for the embargo of China?
And FTR I think opening of trade and tourism will hasten the fall of the communist regime in Cuba.
Sure as hell the embargo has not.

and yet there's no evidence to support this belief, other than your willy wonky unicorn filled notions...

At least I have the balls to answer questions.
Do you want communist China embargoed?

The Castros will be dead within 2 years on their own.

Thank god we didn't extend that logic to East Germany.
What does that even mean? Germany changed it's policies from within. This is not happening here.

There is no basis of comparison between China and the Cuban situation. None! Yes, both are communist. To try and take that any further is senseless.

You got a crystal ball or direct line to God or something?!?! If so, I have a few questions I'd like answered.

I guess Republicans have to be against freedom if Obama is for it.

maybe, maybe not, but if they are dead soon, another dictator will take their place, the idea that "trade" is going to bring down central American dictatorships has never really worked that well which is one reason we wind up trying to covertly support the "rebel" movements in those countries.
Why did Venezuela, who has had free trade, go to a dictatorship? The propaganda of the leftists marxists apparently works with the gullible and low IQ crowd, it sure seems to here as well.

how are we punishing ourselves exactly? all they have is sugar cane and cigars, both of which leftwing govt has deemed as "bad", so we are doing ourselves a favor (according to you morons).
CUBA is bad! I was told so on talk radio!
Goodness.

Cutting off a potential trade partner for an ideological reason that expired 30 years ago?

Great, there's a nice, logical non-sequitur conclusion!
