If they included popcorn and a drink you would literally come out ahead going twice a month. Free snacks and its a whole new ballgame. Plus fat people would be all over this.

Not being able to go to more than one movie a day is a real bummer for a deal like that.

Interesting idea though.

I would love it during the summer but not so much for the rest of the year.

No, I just don't go to the movies enough to make this a prudent investment.

Yeah I'd def get my money's worth. There's 3 theaters within 10mins of my house that I enjoy going to.

Ditto.

I used to love going to the movies by myself as a teenager, even through college and grad school. Once I hit the real world, my movie-going dwindled significantly, and it's been practically nonexistent after having a child. Also, take note of the fact that Denver and Boston are two cold weather cities, so it's a good indoor activity to do when it's blustery and snowing outside.

Still though, that's a pretty awesome deal if you have the freedom and time to enjoy it.

$35/month doesn't prevent people from using their phones or talking in the theater, so no.

i think most folks that would spend 35 a month on a movie pass probably wouldn't be doing those things

Nope. Not 3 movies a month I want to see. Maybe over the summer there might be, but the majority of months, that wouldn't entice me at all.

I've been using Movie Pass for two years, and even with the 24 hour restriction that they added earlier in the year it's still a good deal.

$30 a month, I'll end up seeing around 100 movies for the year. $3.60 per movie is a great deal.

Technically you're only supposed to see one movie per 24 hours and each movie only once... but at most theaters you can buy a ticket for one movie and see another instead.

Not for anyone with kids in the house, but if you're pre or post-kids and like movies, I recommend it.

No, I only go to the theatre maybe once or twice a year, depending on the movies being released.

I have two teenage stepdaughters who are at the movies a minumum of 3 times per week so I would definitely buy passes for them. As for me personally, it would depend on the billing. Do they bill for the entire year at $35/month or do you purchase each month individually? I would be interested in, say, July and December, and not so interested in the rest of the year.

Also, I assume the pass would be issued to an individual so that it can't be passed around to friends?

It's not the cost of movie tickets that gets me, it's the high cost of concessions. I can't resist movie theatre popcorn with butter.

A pass for the month of Dec. would be a great Christmas present for clients/employees/etc.

Only about 10 movies come out each year that I really want to see in theaters, and I really only go about 4-5 times a year.

This is like those season passes to Blue Bayou, it's really awesome for a couple months during the summer, but gets old fast and the house profits off your silly decision.

Is the cost of movies higher in those two cities? I probably go about 5 times a year now.

Seems like the 24 hr restriction would need to be a must. If not it will turn into a daycare where parents just drop their kid off during the summer and leave them there all day.

I guess I'm gonna be the only one, but I would absolutely do this. The ticket costs out here are $12-$16 each, so I would break even super easily. Also being in LA, we have so many of the truly great films come through the theaters that would make it worth it.
