Actual, affiliated Class A or AA minor league baseball club with a 6500-7000 seat stadium built as part of the proposed River Park development that looks something like this:

Alternatively, raze Memorial Stadium and Goldsby Field and put it there by the Interstate

Are neighborhoods inevitably racist? Are populations naturally inclined to self-segregate themselves within neighborhoods based on socio-economic and ethnic lines?

That's what happens when certain schools get placed in RSD. The HS's you mention did not have its districts completely change. They've expanded for the most part.

I think so but poor people don't want to go to crappy poor schools and white people with money don't want their kids to go to school with Tyrone and La-a so we get the situation we have with the public schools in BR today.

If blacks and whites tend not to live in the same areas, why are they forced to? I'm fine if people of color freely live where ever they want and there should be no restrictions. But if the communities choose to consolidate with like people, who cares?

I know. When did it end around 7- 8 years ago? I'm saying if it had never happened in the first place. I wonder what Baton Rouge schools would be like now?

1) A loop
2) Light rail/street cars within BR
3) High speed rail between NOLA and BR
4) Complete gentrification of the area between LSU and downtown
5) A new International airport between NOLA and BR linked by the high speed rail to both cities
6) A more diversified economy
7) 8 more National championships in football

That will do for now.

Happening. First along Nicholson from Downtown to LSU and then down Government Street from Downtown to Independence Park. The Government Street line will connect with the train station for the new

Happening. Supposedly, there will be stops in downtown NOLA, Louis Armstrong Airport, Laplace, Gonzales, and the BR train station will be at the Old Entergy Building on Government Street right outside downtown.

Underway. See Water Campus, River Park, Nicholson Cooridoor, ect. Hipsters are encroaching from the Garden District, flippers from the south, small businesses from the north, and major developers from the West.

No new airport, but Louis Armstrong will be linked by that rail project and is being expanded.
