Me and my girlfriend are going to the show in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Not really sure what to expect.. How was your experience?

I haven't been to a concert, but I played their music for a Christmas play in HS. It should be good.

I've heard good things. Never been myself. I wanted to go this year but my office Christmas party is the same night in BR.

just saw them in OKC a week ago... It was an entertaining show. It starts a little slow, but they finish up with a bunch of great songs.

I took my GF a few weeks ago in Little Rock and was impressed with parts but overall it's pretty boring. The story really drags and there is way too many slow songs. They let a few of the guys sing and they are seriously arena-rock-ballad type Christmas songs that don't work for me.

The guitar players are great for you folks that were hitting puberty around '84 or so.

If Poison and White Snake put together a Christmas album, it would be transsiberian orchestra.

Don't go in expecting any type of orchestra. There were 4 or 5 string instruments playing towards the back of the stage but you couldn't hear them at all. It's mostly 80's hair band type of music with pretty good stage lights and a little bit of pyrotecnics. I can see where this would have thrilled people 15 years ago but it just hasn't aged well.

There's a good looking brunette running around playing the fiddle most of the time but you can't hear it very well either.

There is a blonde guy that sang about a minute of Kashmir that gave me chill bumps. then it went back to whatever cheesy ballad they were playing :(

Oh, it is a very people of walmart type crowd.

Edit: to be fair, I took the gf because she went a few years ago and loved it. She was disappointed and said this show was much more slow.

All music lovers will enjoy the show. Most rocking of any Christmas concert you'll ever see.

I hate them more than the devil himself. My roommate freshman year listened to them constantly...every single day the entire first semester...That and techno remixes of video game music. It was a fricking shame that drink spilled on his keyboard.

I don't know about the actual rock side of this band but the non rock version they do of Christmas Canon with the children's choir is amazing. That is easily one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Saw them in Rupp Arena this past Thursday night. They did a solid 2 1/2 hour show. Driving, edgy music. Lots of music for the eyes too...laser lights, pyrotechnics, etc. There is a "story teller" for the Christmas Attic portion of the show and that gets a little old...but the music itself, the lights, etc. makes for a great show.

I saw them in New Orleans at the basketball arena, 2-3 years ago. A bit over the top for my taste. Definitely a spectacle for sight and sound but after 30-40 min. I was ready to go. We had 4 couples with us and bolted back to the FQ before the show ended.
