The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports Dolphins HC Joe Philbin's days are "numbered." The Dolphins got off to a 5-3 start but have since lost 4-of-6 and are now all but out of the playoff picture at 7-7 following their blowout, 41-13 loss at the hands of the Patriots on Sunday. Philbin went 7-9 in 2012 and 8-8 in 2013. He's now looking at another basically-.500 season. Past reports have stated that the players don't respect Philbin, even describing him as a "flat and unemotional" coach who merely handles "scheduling and planning." Look for owner Stephen Ross to go after Jim Harbaugh hard in the offseason when he's let go by the 49ers.

My prediction was spot on last year

Yeah aren't you a patriots fan?

Why would you want a division rival getting a great coach?

honestly I'm surprised he's had as much "success" as he has, I remember watching that Hard Knocks going into this first season and thinking he'd be a total fricking train wreck.

I would laugh at the OP if Philbin ended up at LSU after those moves

The way he treated Ocho Cinco just made me think he was the worst kind of boss to work for.

Who's a middle of the pack NFL starter this year. What a disaster, right?

Tannehill is waaaaay better than I expected him to be. The guy is a top 15 QB.

Weren't the Fins and the 49ers the only finalists for his services last time?

Steve Ross wants Harbaugh. I would bet the Dolphins will be a major player for him after the season is over. Plus, the Fins personnel isn't that far away. Add in no state income tax and I think JH gives it serious consideration.
