Dude, we recruited a ton of QBs, they all left. Nobody seems to want to sit here for 3-4 years it seems.

I would not blame Harris if you added his name to the list. I would not stay here for 3 years before starting over the inept QB that is starting over him now.

Since 2000, LSU has not recruited well at QB. One notable exception is 2003, with Russell and Flynn. It has been a weird series of events since then with bad selection, lack of pool to select from, transfers, decommits, baseball contracts, and asked to leave the program.

How LSU made it through the 2004 season with Randal and two RS QBs is beyond me. We got lucky that season.

LSU is snake bit when it comes to QBs.

Landry and ODB knew how to get wide the freak open then go get every ball that was remotely close to on target. Dupre and Quinn will develop in the next season +

Kiel leaving the way he did hurt. He was so highly rated that when he committed, other QBs probably bailed (either on their own or because the staff didn't think they needed another one.) Remember, Kiel also didn't even tell the staff he wouldn't register. He just didn't show. At that point, we were done for many other recruits.

Clearly, the development of AJ & Harris was disappointing this year. But not everything was Mile's fault.

We've recruited a lot of shitty high school QBs, bottom line. The ebst ones we've recruited thus far have screwed us one way or another

Y'all's lives will be easier if you resign yourself to the fact that it doesn't make a shite who is on the roster. It was Jenning's job since the first snap he took in 2013. It will be his job until he graduates or becomes injured.

how do we recruit the other positions SO WELL and end up with a disaster at QB

I think it's just a hard system to recruit QB's for. It's just difficult for any QB to look good playing in the system that we play. We put QB's in situations on the field where it is very difficult to be successful then complain about how bad they look when they don't succeed. If Jennings is QB'ing Bama this season everyone would be talking about how good a QB he is. On the other hand, if Sims is the QB at LSU he would look as bad or worse than Jennings and the fans would be saying he is the worse QB ever like they are about Jennings right now. Thought Cam would come in and change things up with the offense here, but he appears to have made it worse.

even the recievers look inept as do the QB's in this system. But I believe change is in the air. Miles is a great coach and not a stupid man nor is Cam. NO one could look at this system and believe that changes don't have to be made to it. It's already happening as evidenced by the A&M game and it will continue into the bowl game. I think we see further development of the system. As we start to open things up a little and start doing the things that you see other teams doing, whether it be Jennings or Harris at QB, the passing game and offense in general is going to be much better.

Evidenced by what? We threw the ball for 100 yards against the worst defense in the SEC?

If we had Beckham I'd bet a lot of money Jennings numbers would be better. He'd have a deep threat that is better than dural and could beat solid coverage.

You have to be kidding, you are blaming the poor QB play on the WR's.

Evidenced by what we did in the first half particularly. We threw on 1st and 2nd down. Lined up in the shotgun and pistol a good bit. Threw to a wide variety of recievers in our limited attempts including the TE, RB,s FB, Diarse and couple other guys who never see the ball. When we threw, we threw in situations and plays that made it easier on the QB. WE ran a lot of misdirection, jet sweeps, and QB read option. Put men in motion. Did things that open up a offense and make it easier on the passing and running game to be successful in the future. Sure it was rough, but what can you expect when you make changes like that in the final game of the season. If we would have started with that at the beginning of the season, things would have been different and the offense, including the passing game would have been more effective and cohesive by the last game of the season than what it looked like in that game. I think we see further development of the offense in the bowl game and that it carries over to next season.

well the receivers didn't look much better than the QB's but it could be expected with the offense we run. WE made every pass play some huge monumental task for everyone involved instead of just making it part of the game plan. When you have young QB's and recievers you have to run plays that make it easier on them, build up their confidence, get in a rhythm, get them involved in the game from the outset.

According to the way that we recruited, we had a great OLine ready, Beckham, Landry, and Hill supposed to be on the team if they had played out their eligibility and - no QB ready to go.

I get that several didn't pan out. But, how do we recruit the other positions SO WELL and end up with a disaster at QB unless we get someone like Mett to transfer to us from JC?

Louisiana produced a ton of talent at RB, WR, OL and not a ton at QB. There you go.

Well, the Great and Non-Stupid men have the Spring and Fall of 2015 to fix the Offense and QB problems or there's going to be big trouble in the Red Stick.

The overwhelming majority of the LSU Nation are in agreement on this too. Fix it or GET OUT. One more season to fix it or else.

BTW, the $$$$$$$$$$$ is there for the intended purpose and there's not a damn thing all the Pumps can do to prevent it if the problem is not fixed. They couldn't save Mac or Jerry or Mike or Hudson or Gerry and they'll not save Leslie. One more season to fix it or its Farewell and Adieu......
