According to the way that we recruited, we had a great OLine ready, Beckham, Landry, and Hill supposed to be on the team if they had played out their eligibility and - no QB ready to go.

I get that several didn't pan out. But, how do we recruit the other positions SO WELL and end up with a disaster at QB unless we get someone like Mett to transfer to us from JC?

Yeah, this has been covered. I get it. I am just amazed each week at how LSU rookies who could still be on the team do in the NFL and we didn't have a plan for a QB to get them the ball this year. Not sure how that happens. Of course they all went pro early. They HAD to.

Ryan Perriloux's fault we don't have prepared QBs.

Those top 10 QBs don't get developed at LSU.

Dual threats running a 1960s prostyle offense.

Yeah, Zach Lee - the first round draft pick for the MLB. That always works out. That was not a plan. But, it is a convenient excuse.

They HAD to go pro because they knew that their stats would drop through the floor this year if they stayed.

We were a run heavy team that could not throw the ball at all and we still didn't have a 1000 yard rusher. Think about that for a minute.

Jennings would have looked a lot better with Landry, ODB, and Dural as his targets than he did with Dural, Diarse, and Quinn.... Just sayin'.

My best guess is that Miles, an OL guy, and Crowton, a disaster in all areas, couldn't do a proper evaluation. Cam got us Harris and has Patterson, Franks, and Dinkelmann on the hook. It may take one more year depending on how Jennings and Harris progress in the spring, but There's a light at the end of the tunnel. Just hope it's daylight and not a flashlight.

Ah, yeah. The chestless wonder.

True, Gunner Kiel would have been a lot better. Thanks.

Hill's would have improved.

Hate to say it, but you're correct. It's sad because I think CLM is a good guy.

If we had Beckham I'd bet a lot of money Jennings numbers would be better. He'd have a deep threat that is better than dural and could beat solid coverage.

The plan was Stephen Rivers, he ended up sucking so bad he couldn't hold the starting spot at Vandy

NO. Why do you use every thread as an occasion to criticize Miles?

You should be more positive toward Miles. He has done good things. C'mon Choctaw. Look on the bright side of things and stop being such a Miles-hater.

This is the answer to the question. His backing out at the last minute ruined the transition process in terms of going from one experienced QB to another.
