I believe this is the case of Alabama recruiting him just to keep him off our roster. I don't think they ever intend on playing him.
This is pretty dumb to even suggest. This isn't the days of Bear Bryant. Alabama only has 25 scholarships.
You can't "keep someone" away from LSU when you only have 25 spots open....you do realize this, don't you?

I'm not sure this is the end of this - no link, no source. He was committed to us and then switched to Bama pretty quickly, he could switch back.
Our staff won't stop recruiting - Bama's staff just had an opening b/c he decided not to be EE, from what I understand.
Our staff will not give up and will be back recruiting him soon and he could easily commit back to the Tigers.

Question is now when does he get his 5th star on the recruiting sites now?
Currently
Composite
68th OT, 15th State, 622nd ranked
247
46th OT, 15th State, NR
Let's see how much of a Bama bump he gets .
ETA: we just flipped an OT, so I can't be butthurt, but I want to see that Bama Bump in action.

Amazing after his dad was beyond adamant about his commitment and how it meant something to stay solid. Recruiting is such a joke sometimes.

Yes you can if you process them after a year or two. This is what going to happen to Hootie after this year.

This is revenge for Andy Dodd

That's a bingo!
They will probably land Isaiah Prince (a better prospect) and are going all in on Willie Allen for next year. Bama uses about 4 or 5 scholarships a year to simply keep a player off an opponent's depth chart. Alvin Kamara is a great example.
Saban wants to weaken our offensive line. It's that simple. We can recruit other OT's, but stealing our instate lineman and flipping another commit for the hell of it... let's just call it what it is, shall we?

Nope, it's done. If he tried to decommit from Bama, Nick would give him the "meaning of commitment speech"...it's done!

Grimes needs to hit the recruiting trail hard, but I am not going to get upset over losing a slow, fat 3 star.

That's crazy talk. This kid is very good and will play at Bama. Bama has had some misses at tackle so Womack fills a need.

Sad but true. Saban is such a hypocrite.

To be honest, I don't really care about Womack. If the ratings are remotely correct, not much of a loss. Was he worth a scholarship offer by LSU at a position of need? Yep! Is he somebody incredibly special? Not by any gauge that I've seen.

He was incredibly underrated. Look at his offer list. Dude was legit.
With that said, everyone knew this was coming, so its not like this was a shock.

I'm not surprised. Will be just as non-surprised to see him end up at Ole Miss where he started by NSD.
Yes, we'll be ok. I thought Womack had a lot of upside and had high hopes with Grimes + Moffitt (would take both).
But again, oh well.

5th star forthcoming. Saban knows how to find the talent.

Didn't this dude have his big truck painted gold or something like that after he committed to LSU?
Posted on 12/14/14 at 3:41 pm to BigBoyTiger
Yeah but that's been taken care of already

So with the dead period looming.
LSU currently sits at three commits along the offensive front with at least four key contributors departing and a likely six (Vadal and Hawk)
