Not sure what you mean by this. I can see two analogies: 1) referring to some of the Chicken Little caliber posters who think losing a 3* OL is the end of the world or 2) some prospects these days whose word is worth less than the cheapest burrito at Taco Bell. Either way, you meant it, I agree with you.

Womack is a huge loss for LSU's future offensive line. This is a major loss

Not really. When LSU has its camps and search La and Tx they will find plenty of talented OL that don't even have big offers. Don't Worry about the top 300 player rankings on any of the 4-5 webistes. Thats just for fun, hype, and to keep us talking about College football year round.

There are so many great players hidden from the media.

We will be fine.

He's been a silent Bama commit for a couple months now. Saban told him and the family to keep it silent and make it public right before the dead period. The family seemed excited about the idea. Another huge slap in the face to LSU. LSU loses and off lineman and cant contact any others because of dead period.

You look at the kids that have done this type of activity. The d/e that went to texas, can't even remember his name, gunner kiel, janze jackson, the kid that went to tenn and screwed florida under kiffin etc. They are usually not very successful. most even flop.

We need offensive lineman, that is the only thing that hurts. This kid, glad his type is gone. Didn't like him or his dad when he committed to us. Didn't like how they felt the need to defame ole miss to make themselves look better. Just hope we can sign another good O-lineman and let the chips fall where they may with him at bama. A lot are disappointed once they are there. Especially if they can't beat out the other 4 five star guys at their position.

You're naive if you think top tier D1 programs don't offer some players just to keep them away from their primary opponents.

You're naive if you think that the reason Nick Saban has guys ready to step in from 2nd or 3rd string from a fallen starter is because he kept a lineman away from LSU.

I don't have the deal about Womack that some have. Most of the predictors never had Womack signing with LSU even after the verbal so if this is some grand little Nicky conspiracy, he did a horrible job of it. Amazing this topic has so much concern in it. My God, the guy is supposedly the 621st best player in the country. Geez, I'm just glad he wasn't 620th best. The ONLY thing remotely bad IMO is his position but losing the Pillsbury Doughboy doesn't get me down like some of you.

BTW, the guy you couldn't remember the name of I believe was Torshiro Davis. You want to talk orchestrated, THAT is it! The guy decommits and commits to TX on NSD. Then he LIES to everyone about "morale is bad at LSU among the players'. Yeah, that is why TD was the only sleazebag who decommitted and was trying to cover up for his complete lack of character. BTW, is that guy even playing at Texas? I have watched TX and don't even remember hearing his name called...one time.

Update: Just checked the Rivals Depth Chart of TX and our boy TD or Shiro Davis as they list him is 3rd string at one of the DEs positions...not even listed at the other DE position at all. Can you say "bust" for the 125th rated player out of HS?

So he's good enough to start at LSU, but at Bama, he'll sit the bench? So I guess in reality by your logic he sucks?

I swear, some of you guys are just freaking dumb!

As much as I don't like agreeing with you, I never understood that argument. "Oh man we lost a critical OL, but he'll never see the field there." Just dumb.

May I punch a couple of holes in that? How do you explain Andy Dodd the OL switching from Alabama to LSU in 2013 class? His offer wasn't pulled. How do you explain Charlot the WRer this class who may very switch from Alabama to LSU? And you realize right that Alabama has had some decommits already?

Or they passed Math 101. Shall we review the OL recruiting lately by LSU and Alabama by the numbers? Yes, I believe we shall. And LSU's Ferguson is counted only as a snapper and Shipley left at TE BTW.

2013 LSU signs 4 OL Alabama signs 4
2014 LSU signs 2 OL Alabama signs 6
2015 LSU has 3 verbals Alabama has 5 verbals

So yeah Womack will be competing against 14 (obviously not competing against himself) at Alabama and would be competing against only 9 at LSU for players close to his class. So yeah, everything else being equal, his chances of sitting on the bench at Alabama much better than if he was at LSU. Once again, I don't give a damn where the guy goes but to act like the depth chart doesn't matter, simply is naive. And yes, I didn't break down OT specifically because I don't know Alabama's OT personnel + guys these days are cross-trained anyway.

That is simply not true, he has not been a commit for 2 months to Alabama.

He camped at Alabama and was very impressive, he pushed the coaches for an offer then. Alabama told him they wanted to see him play a few games before offering.

He scheduled a visit to Alabama for the USM game on Sept. 13 expecting an offer, and received a verbal offer but was slow played.

Alabama was confident of getting a commit from the kid anytime since summer camp, and wanted him in the class when he visited on Sept. 13th, the hold up to Alabama taking a commit at that point was the fear of Ole Miss doing whatever they near the end with Mississippi kids and him flopping to Ole Miss, leaving us scrambling for a replacement, or falling short on OT's.

Ole Miss has beat us at the end for quite a few kids the last few years who had told the staff they were Alabama bound or committed, and Saban wasn't going to let it happen again.

Whatever...I'm looking for the machine gun emoticon to try to gun this topic down because never has so much been made over the 621st best player in the country.

I can't believe all this is being made over a 3* offensive lineman who probably would have never started at LSU. He is big but a major project.
