I have seen some opinions posted which make me shake my head and laugh. One that is particularly funny is the so called "emergence" of the Mississippi Schools. Ole Miss has won exactly 1more game than LSU and even lost to LSU this year but somehow has emerged. Then there is MSU. State has managed to win 1 gamein the last 18 and has now arrived. If LSU won 1 of 18 against
anyone I would be hard pressed to use that 1win as evidence thatLSU
had "arrived". However some so called LSU fans try to harp on this as evidence that LSU is in decline. These same "fans" are only too quick to ignore the fact that LSU was incrdibly young and had unreslistic expectations of true freshmen who were forced into starting rolls due to early departures. It is a double standard used to attempt to criticize LSU Coaches and the program unjustly. LSU will be much improved next year and I am looking forward to it. But first lets beat ND and finish at 9-4 & support LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!!

If you don't think Miss St is a resurgent football team you're not paying much attention.

I don't think you realize how many upper classmen State is losing, and they don't recruit at the same level as LSU.

We recruit top one or two in the country. What do we have to show for it last 4 years?

No. I think that MSU is a flash in the pan just as they were when they actually won the SEC West under Jackie Sherrill. It lasted for 2-3 years and then State fell back to what they traditionally have always been. I think MSU was very fortunate to have their schedule play in their favor this year. They played a very young and inexperienced LSU team early and their OOC schedule is an embarrassment.

State does not and has not recruited at the LSU level and after they graduate this Sr. class there is nobody nearly as talented to replace many of the starters.

You are a case in point of what I was talking about. You actually believe that MSU has become a consistent competitor based on a second place finish in the SEC West this season. Anyone who thinks that MSU is going to stay at that level after losing their Sr. class must also believe that Leonard Fournette, Malachi Dupre, Brandon Harris, and the rest of LSU's young team will not improve. That's my point exactly.

The young and inexperienced excuse can only get you so far because it can be pointed out that teams like Bama lose just as much and still contend for the SEC every year. There are true freshmen and first year starting quarterbacks all over the country putting up crazy stats, and yet LSU can't seem to get one that can complete a pass. So, you can pump Miles and Co up all you want, but the fact remains they don't do enough with the talent that they recruit.

How about a 2011 SEC Title? We won it. I have seen the trophy. It may not matter to you but I hope we haven't reached the point that SEC Championships don't matter. Maybe they don't to some of you.

Tarnished by being raped by Bama in the Dome a few weeks later. And what have we won since then except the "just wait for next year" trophy?

No one is saying SEC championships don't matter, but how we lost the NC game put a bad taste in everyone's mouth. If we would have lost that game 21-17 or something it you wouldn't hear as much about it. Bama was a great team that year and so was LSU, but LSU wasn't ready to play that game. Les didn't even try to make adjustments and it was pretty obvious he just gave up after the second quarter.

OK "Chicken Little". All Nimrods like you do is focus on the passing game and stats. Yet, you somehow are oblivious to that some teams are running teams. LSU is one of those. I suppose players like Joseph Addai; Steven Ridley; Alfred Blue; Jeremy Hill and their LSU stats don't matter?

As for the QB situation, I suppose you forgot Mettenberger was here just last year and LSU had 2 1,000 yard receivers in 2013. I know that might be a long time ago to some of you but it's only been a year. LSU played 2 QB's this season who were very young and they are going to improve. Then again, some of you just want to bitch. So bitch.

Uh, well in all fairness some of you need to put it behind and move on. The bitching might make you feel better but changes nothing. LSU is going to be ready to make another run maybe as soon as next season and they are going to move on whether you do or if you stay stuck in 2011. It's just time to move on.

It was 2011. We won the SEC. Bama got a do over and won the NC. If you want to let it consume you then do it. I am an LSU fan and am going to support LSU. Bama is on a tear right now and nobobdy is beating them often. Auburn won on a fluke last year. Other than that LSU has done about as well competing with Bama as anyone.

I am encouraged by LSU's performance this year because I know LSU played at that level with a bunch of high school kids basicly and could have won it minus a questionable call with just over a minute to go and a horrible kickoff with less than a minute to go.

Right now I am not worried about 2011. I want to beat ND in the Bowl and recruit. All this bitching accomplishes what? To me is pointless and repetitious. You can bitch while I support LSU pull for them to win. Suit yourself.

No, I didn't forget about Mettenberger, but I've stated before that he didn't start his career here. Russell and Flynn were recruited and coached by Jimbo and therefore they were good quarterbacks. The QB's that have been with Miles and his group from the start have all been awful.

It's not bitching. It is what happened. Now if 4 years from now I am like you and still whining about a game THEN it would be not only bitching but bordering on insanity.
