Should Miles write a letter to Michigan stating he has no intentions of going?

I know this isn't normal method of operation....BUT

This has happened 2 or 3 times now. Michigan is obviously leaking a desire to speak with him about the job. It is having recruits question his staying. He is denying "hearing" from them (we've heard this before).

SO here's what puzzles me. Why doesn't he come out and write a respectful letter notifying them that since reports are being leaked, he feels the need to stop them now and declare his intentions of staying at LSU with NO chance of leaving and respectfully ask them to remove his name form any and all consideration.

Then, after sent, release it to the public on LSU's site.

Problem solved.

Point is, there are no more raises coming and he should state his intentions or interests...LSU deserves that.

Fire away rant

Clearly he wants the job since no letter has been written.

A letter no.

A statement yes, that's of course if he truly not interested in job

1. Michigan is divided on whether they want to hire him.

2. There is no job offer to decline.

3. He is busy preparing for Notre Dame

Why would he do any of that?

He is probably interested. Why wouldn't he be? Aren't we all interested in bettering out position in life at all times?

What if they offer him full control and $10 mil?

You don't turn a job down before you hear what they have to offer. That's absurd.

No reason to hold Miles to a higher standard than any other person.

Michigan is trying to bring Bo back to tell Les to go. It takes time.

No. Even if Miles honestly feels like he would never leave LSU to go to Michigan, he is never going to publicly call out and reject his Alma Mater that way. Especially now at a time where it could severely hurt their chances on getting a quality coach.

Plus there is no reason for him to permanently burn that bridge if it isn't necessary.

That's exactly why it's moronic for people to come here and say "Miles is going nowhere...the buyout is too big"...etc

And, him not denying the rumors tell me he is GONE if offered.

This thread is bad. He's not going and he hasn't been offered. I'm not writing a letter to any of the competitors in my industry. Not even the one in my home town. Even if he is offered, it will almost certainly not be enough to make him uproot his family and take on a rebuilding project at this point in his career. Also, he would be stupid to state he's not interested, even if he's not interested. Sit back and wait to see if Alleva is stupid enough to offer you a raise in a panic. I bet you wouldn't turn down more money if your employer offered it to you. He is telling the recruits and his team of his intentions and that is all that matters. Your thread is bad and you should feel bad.

Thank you.

Why should he let incessant media chatter/guessing/speculation/stir-the-pot bullshite - and ranters who have nothing better to do - run his life?

No doubt.

I thought Garb would be in line with all of SF's troubles....but it doesn't look that way from what I've been reading.

And sorry, a 1.25 m buyout is nothing...Absolutely nothing

You think we could get a home n home with them if he goes? Would love to see that mf'er coaching last minute offense in TS with our crowd against him.
