if Harbaugh goes to Michigan, Meyer will quit within 5 years from some mysterious illness

Lets remember that Stanford had a lot of good talent when he arrived
he had 2 losing seasons at Stanford, and 2 winning seasons. If they had a lot of good talent, why did it take having a future Hall of Fame NFL QB in Andrew Luck at QB to have a winning season?

One other thing:
after this sunday we also need to watch the Dolphins. Harbaugh could end up in Miami. The Dolphins owner is high profile Michigan Alum Stephen Ross

Dolphins get eliminated

Philbin is fired

Dolphins make an offer to 49ers for Harbaugh

Harbaugh goes to Miami because he wants to stay in the NFL

As an LSU fan I want to see this get resolved one way or another ASAP.

As a 49er fan I'm happy Harbs isn't pulling a Petrino.

Yes but he stated he would rather have Harbaugh at Michigan than Miami.

If Harbaugh say's he doesn't want to go back to college and therefore Michigan is off the table, then Miami would be in more consideration.

I may be making this up, but I thought I heard (or read) somewhere that if Harbaugh refuses a trade the 49ers could fire him with cause. Meaning they would owe him much less or nothing at all.

If that is the case, he can hold the Michigan job over them to ensure he gets traded somewhere he wants to be. No one will trade for a commodity that may quit once he's acquired.

So right now, not declining the Michigan job is his only leverage.
