I thought this might go better on this board than Tiger Rant. But with all the names being thrown around for head coach job if Les leaves, I was trying to figure out if there are any former LSU players with substantial coaching experience. All I can come up with is Terry Robiskie and Steve Ensminger. Who else am I missing?

Robiskie's name was thrown around many years ago as a possible head coach for LSU.

There is simply no one that I would want to touch there right now. Maybe if Ben Wilkerson moves up in the ranks in bigger programs, he might be worth a look in the distant future.

I didnt realize Robiskie went to LSU. I got to know him fairly well when he worked for the Browns. Hell of a guy. His son was a crazy good high school athlete.

Well, I got to know his son fairly well. I talked to Terry on the sideline a bunch, but we pretty much just talked about whatever game was going on at the time or was about to start.

It's apparent at this point in time LSU does not produce a whole lot of coaches. Maybe that will change in the future.

Side note. I believe Robiskie was on the 2007 OSU staff that ended up losing to LSU in the MNC Game that year. His son was on the OSU team.

I don't think he has too much affection for his alma mater these days.

He felt that he wasn't given a fair shot to fill previous openings at LSU, from what I remember.

would not surprise me.

Although he has a long history of coaching in the NFL his head coaching experience is not very impressive, although it was interim roles.
