Ordered some personalized items from a store with an Internet presence as a gift for my godchild's birthday in late November. I placed this order on 11/1. By the week of Thanksgiving I was wondering where it was and checked the tracking. Apparently it had been delivered on Friday 11/21. I never received it.

I contacted the company on Wed the 26th and never heard back from them. I again contacted them over that weekend. By my 3rd email I was getting aggravated. They finally responded to that one when I threatened a chargeback saying they had responded and didn't know why I hadn't received the responses. They said they filed an insurance claim with USPS and would be sending a replacement order. Great!

Well here it is 12/9 and still no replacement order. I emailed them on Thurs of last week and someone said I would have the order by the beginning of this week. Well it's Thurs and still no order. Emailed them again twice and finally got a response saying their busy with Xmas and I should definitely have the order by this coming Monday unless the USPS is backed up.

I feel like I'm getting the big runaround here and at this point I'm thinking of just doing a chargeback. Will the cc card company side with me? I feel like I've paid $60 and have nothing to show for it.

TL/DR: I ordered a gift. Didn't get it. Getting runaround from company. Is Chargeback a valid option?

I think the fact that you have some documentation promising the delivery will help you out...especially as they have missed, and missed, and missed the date.

I think your godchild is a little young for the peptides.

This if why you use a credit card to purchase items that are to be shipped to you. The credit card company needs to go to work for you and make the vendor show proof that they delivered your purchase. If they can't, then they deserve the charge back.

I had care credit try to charge back for some work that I did in my dental practice on two separate occasions. Both of these cases resolved in my favor when I provided documentation of signatures and consent to do the work.

In both instances, a spouse or a parent tried to say that they didn't approve the work which was weak sauce.

Yes. Non-receipt of merchandise / Services Not Rendered. You already tried working with the company so disputing the charge is the next step.

The dilemma is that they did ship the first order using USPS Priority Mail and tracking shows it as delivered. I didn't get it. I even went to the post office and they said that they'd look into it. Nothing came of that. I've never had anything stolen out of my mail and I find it hard to believe this personalized embroidery item was stolen. I really feel like the USPS fricked up and delivered to wrong address or something.
Anyway, the company made an insurance claim with USPS and said they'd send a replacement no charge. This is what hasn't shown up yet either.
I always pay with credit card for any online purchases, so I'm going to look into chargeback if I don't receive anything by end of week.
