In this day and age, if you can recruit and half arse coach with good coordinators, you WILL succeed at LSU. LSU can make a coach. Believe it or not, LSU made Saban, Saban didn't make LSU. Saban got the great in-state players to come and bam, Championship. We replace Saban with Les Miles.......Les frickin Miles and look what he did. I love Les but he is NOT a top coach. He has good coordinators and can bring in talent. If we happen to lose him, oh well, bring in a guy that can recruit and half arse coach (would more than likely be better than miles) get good people around him and BAM, We'll still be LSU.

Who the frick was Nick Saban and Les Miles before the came to LSU?

Just like USC made a coach after Carrol

Just like UF made a coach after Meyer

Just like ND made a coach prior to Kelly

Just like Tennessee made a coach after Fulmer

Just like......

Nah bro. Those schools aren't lsu. Lsu has the unicorn farts and pixie dust magic that just makes things click unlike those other historical heavyweight programs.

The key thing is Coordinators, this team would be just as good or probably even better if you take Miles out. Wtf does he really do besides frick up the clock and timeouts?

Yeah you are right. Lsu is such a magical place, you don't even need a head coach!

I see you are digging deeper in this cesspool of a thread.

And who the hell was Curley Hallman before LSU made him? And where would Gerry DiNardo be today without LSU? And Mike Archer?

This OP is, like, a fail of biblical proportions.

Full retard.

LSU didn't make Saban. LSU paid Saban the 3rd highest salary in CFB at $1.6mil/yr in 1999.

LSU got great returns on that investment. IF Miles takes another job, etc, then LSU needs to think BIG. Just like Emmert did in 1999.
