I don't understand why you are having problems with accubonds. There are 5 or 6 of us that reload them in just about every caliber and all of us love them. I shoot a 300win mag and have very little meat damage. Always have great blood trails.

You can shoot any bullet as long as it's one that's pretty solid and will stay together. 1000s of deer are killed each year by core locks, that imo are pure crap and the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hunting bullets.

+1. i got nice consistent groups with them, but they didn't seem to perform as well as other brands. i REALLY like Federal Premium 165 btsp: consistent groups and great performance. i'm batting 1.000 with them over the last 3-4 years. 220 gr remington round nose is really fun to shoot as well. drops like a mo'-fo' after 100 yds but has a "hammer of thor" effect on game, espically multiple hogs lined up

I used to use core lokts.
They kill deer pretty dang well and shoot pretty good out of most rifles out there.
But what they don't do well is leave exit holes.
No matter how good your shot placement is, some deer will run a ways sometimes.
I like an exit hole.
