Where does everyone see the mainframe 20-50 years from now?

Do you mean the specific IBM product, or server client computing in general? I don't think the network is going anywhere.

If you mean server client computing, it seems we are moving back towards that model with the cloud being the mainframe.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. There is a lot to be said for economy of scale, although security concerns will still drive many to keep a certain number of things local. However, that is probably false security because virtually everything is networked. If you make something 100% secure, it will also be almost inaccessible.

As the demand for smaller processor grows this will just grow. Wearable devices become a lot more practical if they only need a small processer and don't use much power. Let the cloud process the data and consume the results from a phone or tablet.
As far as security goes, it will be interesting to see how encryption evolves and how many major security failures occur.

Yes the IBM product with the use of JCL and COBOL. The TSO environment.

It's not going away for a very long time - if ever. I know it's not being taught as much as it used too stateside, but overseas - they're meeting demand.

Larry Ellison had this idea 20 years too early. LINK

The state still uses it. Some of my coworkers have to use it. My wife still has to periodically use it. Sad
